Breakfast was delicious, friendly, relaxed and comfortable all with a sea view onto crashing waves in the background. My veranda and bedroom had views onto curling waves peeping up through exotic palm trees with a glimpse onto an ancient light house to further dream on sea faring stories.

    The service was wonderful and they helped book a lovely desert tour on short notice. The rooms were spacious and there was ample parking for the truck. The location was great, very quiet but near enough to walk to shops and restaurants and the sea! If we make it back to Swakopmund in the future, we’ll definitely be back at the Secret Garden.

    We could not have wished for a better stay. The property is set in beautiful gardens and the tranquility is a real tonic. Our self catering unit was well equipped and spotless. What made our stay however was the first class customer service. The staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

    the museum which was recommended by the hotel was really worth a visit we spent a whole morning there and learnt so much about Namibia and its people as well as Swakopmund. the walk along the pier though very windy was worth the experience.

    The crystal museum is a must see.

    The crystal museum is a must see. Stadtmitte Cafe serves exceptional food (well worth the wait). The manageress at the Mermaid Casino was extremely rude, impolite and disrespectful when we attempted to leave the premises with a can of Coca Cola that we had purchased within the premises much to the embarrassment of the security personnel who apologised profusely to us on our departure.

    The quaint shops, excellent restaurants, with fresh seafood. A 'fat bike' cycle ride around dessert and beach of Swakopmund departing from the centre of town is not to be missed if you're capable to basic cycling. Book restaurants early!
