Oh, my God!!!! What a wonderful place! I was received by Elizabeth, that played the piano and sang for me! She cooked a meat ball and gave to me and it was so delicious... The place has a do nostalgic atmosphere and I simply love it. The breakfast is full of options and everything is done with love. I totally recommend this place for everything that wants to feel very welcome.

    The hotel is beautifully situated on the waterside with many boats coming and going. We had a great view of this from the hotel lounge and the terrace, and we were lucky enough to be in a room which gave us an even better view from the balcony. Our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of buffet items and cooked eggs from the kitchen. The lounge is a great space in which you can relax on the comfortable seating. Willem and Jessica are excellent hosts. They were happy to share the history of Friesland with us and recommended an excellent restaurant, just a short walk away in the historic and beautiful small city of Workum.

    This was our second time of staying here, the first being 13 years ago. We were so looking forward to returning to the accommodation which we had previously thoroughly enjoyed and we were not disappointed. The business is now being run by the next generation! Everything met our expectations - it was just super so we liked absolutely everything. We certainly hope to return - and not leave it for another 13 years!

    The staff were absolutely amazing. My mum and aunt went back to Holland to see their mother for the last time, and unfortunately, she passed away whilst they were there. The staff were empathetic to their situation and good not have been more accommodating. Their lovely bus driver drove them to the home where their mum was. I was so pleased my mum and aunt were in such good hands. Everyone went above and beyond.

    A lovely old town well cared for with many historic buildings and interesting shops. Do travel on the stoomtram to nedemblick with its beautiful polished locomotives and typical scenery. Great for the children too! The triangle journey including the boat and visit to the Zuider see museum is recommended.

    We have visited Lemmer many times over the years and are happy to find many of the same restaurants and bars still going (especially after Covid). It is a vibrant, friendly town, based around the Ijsselmeer and canals, many boats of all shapes and sizes. We didn't swim in the Ijsselmeer (it was May, and bear in mind it used to be part of the North Sea!) Lots to see and do round about, though our holiday was mainly based around fishing (myself, with some success) and reading in a lounger (my wife).

    Enkhuizen has a rich history, monuments, museums and adventures to show it. We took walks along the harbor, the canals and even a park created around social housing from around 1900, fascinating! The town is a pearl. There are many nice restaurants to enjoy. Everything was an easy walk away from our accommodation near the harbor.

    A nice small quiet town with a few restaurants. Very picturesque with lots of canals. Good transport links to Amsterdam so you don’t have to stay in the hustle and bustle of a busy city. Lovely towns nearby to visit. The only downside was that there was no convenience stores in the centre.

    This property is beautifully located in the county with gorgeous views of the meadows. The small town of Workum is nearby and has supermarkets for your groceries. The place also provides a bike for you to go there. This is a great area to tour on a bike and visit all the beautiful small towns. The staff is wonderful and accommodating, I highly recommend this place for a restful vacation!
