Hotel Buren is a cosy family hotel, only a 5-minute walk from the harbour and the lighthouse. The hotel has a very convenient location for the ferry, village centre, and nature reserve.

Staff couldn't have been nicer. They made a packed breakfast as I had an early ferry. Large, comfortable room, delicious vegetarian breakfast when I asked. Lovely Christmas decorations on the façade. Very central ~ only a few minutes' walk to the harbour.

A single room for once! Other hoteliers take note. There are many single travellers who are penalised for this and have to rent double rooms at a higher price.

Upon arriving at Pension de Wadvaarder (through the back gate), you’ll enter into a cozy living room and dinning area. Gerrit & Annemieke have a great sense of style and it shows throughout the property, including the garden. The bedroom was spacious and had a small reading room with books (in Dutch). For breakfast you are provided a checklist of items to choose from which are then freshly assembled for you in the morning. The items are excellent quality, some derived from Terschelling (cheese, cranberry compote, eggs…) - lekker! The pension is close to the village center and bus stop. Hikes on the dike, in the forrest, on the dunes, and beach are easily manageable. Of course you can also bike if you want to move around faster and farther.

it's a good price for the island. I think it's the only hostel. AMAZING breakfast spread with extra veggie options. Nice bar. amazing ciew. Staff was very nice. Good location, about 20-25 min walk from the town // pier. they also help arranging shuttle in case you don't want to walk. bycicle rental. bathrooms with privacy rather than these cubicle things.
