the staff at dinner were fantastic, Victora made the best cocktail's, and Ben was very helpful and accommodating with his service when waiting on our table the food was cooked to perfection heads up to the chef.
it is a credit to your staff you have as they make the vib and feeling amazing. we would return again for a relaxing weekend away thank you all :-)

Barbara and Stu are so nice, they tell you all about the history of the building and show you around the house, so you know where to find everything. They offer a welcome drink on the house and also prepare a very lovely breakfast.
The bathrooms are very clean and spacious.
In total the house has a modern but still very classy touch.
Enjoy the beautiful garden or the loving room to read a book or just relax.
The beds are very cozy, too.
For me the best experience on accommodation in NZ!

We could cook our own meals in the well equipped full kitchen. It was well laid out to sleep a family of 4 and the beds were comfortable. We slept so well because of the black out blinds and lapping ocean just outside, My 22 year old daughter enjoyed using the trampoline and we both enjoyed the hot tub and having our meals on our balcony overlooking the beautiful view, The hosts were also lovely and very helpful with suggestions as to things to do. it was well located to walk and drive to different sites to visit in the surrounding areas. A nice bonus is it also had Netflix to relax at night with a movie, Because of the lack of noise and light pollution, star gazing was at its best. Whitianga is a very picturesque place.
Whitianga is a very picturesque place. There’s a beautiful long beach, green countryside and mountains surrounding the area. The town is a decent size with everything you might need. There are many restaurants and cafes to choose from and the real fruit ice cream is superb. The staff member at the information centre is brilliant. A little ferry takes you to another area but beware of the hike to the top of the hill- it gets very challenging! I went on a two hour boat trip which was fabulous.Guest review byKerrieAustralia - 10

We loved it. The grandkids loved the playground by the mall area. We had a great time at the Goldmine experience and fully recommend this as they were very informative and something different to see. Everything was close by with ample parking which made it easier to get around. Wea made our meals although meal delivery is possible. The ocean is also close. Hahei is beautiful.
Hahei is beautiful. Hahei beach is so beautiful as is Hot Water Beach. If I could I would return to Hahei time and time again. The little town of Hahei has what you need, a small general store, liquor store and restaurants. If you need a big grocery shop, you need to go in Whitianga which is a long drive around (45 minutes to an hour) or one can go by ferry at Cooks Bay and walk into town for a bigger shop, but be sure to have a trolley bag to carry your groceries. My weekend trip in Whangamata was fantastic, I honestly wished I had gotten to stay longer since it's such a lovely town. The beach, which is great for surfing and walks, is a huge part of the town, so staying near it is important. We tried to get to Hotwater beech, but were slightly late for low tide and could not stay longer for the evening one. We did not expected to spend long time for digging a hole for ourselves as we didn't have a shovel and we heard that place could be very overcrowded. Liked its central quieter location within easy distance of Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, Cooks Beach and Whitianga to which we did day trips. Eatery's were adequate, enjoyed the Gemstore and browsing other shops, peple friendly. It is my hometown.

No real drawcard, except the beach. Restaurants almost non-existent, no shopping or acitvites really. The township and streets are very dark at night, nothing to do but walk on beach and look at empty wealthy holiday homes on dark streets that do not provide good safety lighting.
