New ZealandThe retreat was very well laid out , quiet and many luxuries. Only stayed 1 night so couldn’t make use of the pool. But otherwise the bed was comfortable.
Breakfast amazing especially to have it in a church.

Our original room was unavailable the first night, due to a maintenance issue, so we were upgraded to a suite. It was wonderful and had a nice balcony overlooking the marina. While we were out the next day, the manager moved us into our new room, which was also lovely with an excellent balcony view. Good thing there is a toilet attached with the bedroom upstairs. What I loved most is the sunset view of the lake from the apartment. Is so picturique and romantic. Nelson has a lot of speciality stores and a lot of food options. The Markets in the weekends are not for those looking for a bargain but do support local and NZ made and although some were costly, there was a lot of selection of goodies. Stoke the Bach Restaurant was staffed with lovely young girls, and the food was excellent and value for money The Arden Monaco where we stayed has limited room facilities and is not staffed outside of working hours, but the beds are comfortable and with very dark woodwork old paintings and very heavy doors, the facility was well equipped with heat pumps and hot water.Guest review byKimNew Zealand - 10.0

Loved the friendly people, very creative and arty outlets, and artists, lovely eateries and markets, lots to do and see. We unfortunately got caught in the bad weather and were stranded for two more days - would have been great, but too wet and flooded to do anything else.
