United KingdomJust an incredible place - 'cabin' is understating it. The views across to Auckalnd and Rangitoto alone are worth the price, but it's the little touches that make this place special: all the fittings are metal where possible, the finishing is exceptional, and the wine is from across the road. It gave our stay a feeling of luxury and care that was beyond the price. It was also probably the best bed we've ever had - it shaped itself to us in a way neither of us had experienced before.

New ZealandGreat little cottage, right in the Oneroa village, so an easy walk to stores, cafes and restaurants.
Very clean and modern inside, clearly well looked after. Bright and warm, with two queen bedrooms and an open living area/kitchen. Deck. So it is well set up for a longer stay if you are able. Shower pressure was amazing and the bathroom was modern and immaculately clean.
The host was very good at responding quickly to any messages or contact both during booking and the actual stay.
Really enjoyed the stay here, the location was excellent and look forward to a return stay in the future.
Travel tip: Found that the cottage was about 50m away from the AT bus 501/502 route, which also goes down the ferry terminal. So you could bus straight from the terminal then just a cpl minutes walk to the cottage if you don't have alternate travel arrangements.

Easy parking beside home.
2 friendly little dogs welcomed us. Colin and Aitu made us all a gin & tonic while we sat in their garden chatting before we headed out for our dinner.
Colin also driver/operator of his taxi.

Everything is here that you could possibly need.
The hot tub was perfect for our winter break for a warm soak and to soothe aching muscles from all the walking we did on the island.
So handy for all the wineries and activities around Onetangi Beach and Valley, and just a short drive or bus ride to everything else.

The lounge/dining has a sweeping view of the sea and I liked how every dining table is up against a window so everyone gets a view. Very exclusive and very special. We felt lucky to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary there. The menu for breakfast both mornings were a culinary delight. Lots of choices where I wished we could have stayed an extra day to try them all. Would absolutely recommend especially if you are celebrating a special occasion. Loved the water bottles in the fridge and shortbread biscuits in our room. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious but cozy at the same time with sweeping views. Feels like a paradise away from busy Auckland, very calm and relaxing. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the ocean. There is also a little kitchen and outside grill if you want to cook own food. The beach (Little Oneroa) is only 5 min walk down the hill, while the Oneroa town (where you can find bars, restaurants, Four Suqare…) in 15 min walk from the lodge. Waiheke is amazing there are lovely beaches to visit and great wineries and tours, every one we meet was super helpful. the bus service is great you can even visit wineries by getting a bus! Probably not a popular destination compared to others on the island,suited us though. Good range of shops. The Woolworths supermarket was a bonus as far as buying groceries for the motel room. The RSA is a friendly destination, and provided takeaway meals for the weary traveller to take back to their motel. Some nice fashion shops worth a look too. A minor hassle was the amount of road noise heard in the motel room (probably sounded louder with the motel being situated uphill a short distance from the road). Sensational location on the cliff. Everything very clean and all necessary things sufficiently available. The beds are good, very nicely furnished. Thanks to the host for the helpful tips. We were there at the beginning of April and it was not hot. In real summer it can heat up a lot as there are many windows. There is a mobile cooling unit in the living room (with a hose to the outside when the window is open. In the bedrooms only fan. It’s a beautiful place, the views, pool, spa and bbq area are all stunning, such a lovely spot. It’s easy to get around Waiheke from here, by bus as well, we went to Ostend, Oneroa etc and had great food and walks. We enjoyed everything and it was very tidy and clean. Close to regular buses going to Onetangi and other direction to Oneroa and ferry. Ostend has seating’up town’, shade under sail with tables and grass under foot,big interesting Saturday market,large RSA,Woolworths supermarket,clothing shop and interesting boutique style gift shop,several more and a petrol station and eating out places.It’s pleasant walking around paths off road, the odd local has put a seating bench outside front gate for the public- beautiful views of sea.Easy short walk to The Causeway and moored old quaint boats.Our family group came for family wedding, stayed at Waiheke Motel in four studios, Ostend.Awesome.Guest review byGabrielNew Zealand - 8.0

You get exactly what is shown and described. Wake up with a great ocean view, great deck to relax on, neat simple room and perfect for 2 people.
