Very beautiful hotel. In the middle of nature, close to the most beautiful beach. We celebrated my friends birthday and the hotel staff went out of their way to help, even bringing js a little birthday cake. So thoughtfull! Also comfortable beds and spacious rooms.

This is our 2nd visit. We may turn this into an annual event. Excellent yoga/meditation classes, spa, massages, healthy breakfasts and friendly staff. from the breakfast ladies to the specialised feast they produced for us each morning, to the incredible and unique dome room, to the amazing remote location where we were surrounded by the lushest green and wildlife (including monkeys) - wow! Excelent choice in Bocas Town. Very good location. Close (by walk) to main boat docks and restaurant and bars. In pool area is very good chilli vibe. Staff is really nice and helpful, especially on recepcion. They organized everything for us, even the tours and boat took us on the hotel pier (so you dont need to negotiate with locals on street).

Staying at the newly renovated DBP was incredible. We were welcomed to a private part of the island by Marcus, the owner—warm, gentle, and genuinely attentive—who made sure our stay exceeded expectations. It happened to be my wife’s birthday, and Marcus and his local team went out of their way to make it unforgettable. Bonus points for DBP’s eco-friendly vision and passion. And the unbelievable wow factor? Kayaking through the bay alongside pods of dolphins—pure magic for any nature lover!

It may have been a little pricey for the area, but I think it was totally worth it. The staff was great. The room was comfortable, quiet and easily accessible. Maria went out of her way taking care of my room and serving breakfast as well as loaning me towels for the beach! Everybody at the front desk was friendly and accommodating as well! I love my visit and have every intention of staying there again next time I’m in town!

Wonderful place, near to everything, well equipped kitchen with clear fridge space for each room. Wonderful staff, both Rozy the cleaning lady, as the reception. Our room with balcony was also very nice and had a security box and a clothes line outside.

We enjoyed The Restaurante Bar El Pirata and Buena Vista...

We enjoyed The Restaurante Bar El Pirata and Buena Vista both of which had excellent seafood and were on the water and the oceanfront scenery is beautiful. We enjoyed taking a boat around the islands. Getting around can be a challenge due to construction but the taxis are great. The best part was relaxing by the water.

Big Creek is in our opinion the best place to stay in bocas.

Big Creek is in our opinion the best place to stay in bocas. As it is not right in the city and more towards the most famous surf beaches you get the best of both worlds. The Jungle here is so pure and the wildlife is amazing, there are monkeys, sloths and tucans jumping and flying all around you. The Taxi drive to the center costs 2 dollar per person and takes 7-8 minutes. By bike you´ll need approximateley 20 minutes. If you are looking for amazing Wildlife and some relaxing time out of the noisy "pueblo", then this is definitely the right place for you.

Bocas Town offers many services (supermarkets, pharmacy, cafes) and seaside hotels with cafe-bars around well-designed docks. It is a good place to find tour operators and sign up for day tours to some of the prime beaches (Bluff, Estrella/Starfish, Wizard, Isla Pajaros, Isla Zapatillas) and resorts (Red Frog, Nayara, Playa Tortuga, Bocas Villas etc) in the different areas of the Bocas del Toro Archipelago.

Wait another year or so until the infrastructure...

Wait another year or so until the infrastructure construction is completed: concrete sidewalks, streets paved, and storm drainage completed. There are too many restaurants serving just hamburgers or pizza. When is the water from the tap going to be drinkable?
