The lot has three houses and is secluded with a road on one side of the lot and a small river on the other. There is an outside kitchen with all that one needs.

Restaurant was good, perfect served meals (like in Michelin restaurants maybe :) ) with friendly staff. Maybe bathrooms needs some reconstruction, but it´s just detail, because everything others was perfect. We have little problems with noise from reconstruction in afternoon, so we talk to personal. They stops that noise and we can rest after long trip and manager and personel decide to make some kind of refund - which was perfect for both sides :) ! As a bonus, there was nice shelter next to stream, we make little party over there. Another bonus was a bear behind that shelter, but no worries, he stays in safe distance and hotel dogs and puppies will scary him ! my main interest was in the Sf Nicolae Church of the Valachian princes, dating from 14th c, one of the oldest in our country and with great old frescoes inside and the ruins of a valachian princes court (Curtea Domneasca) nearby. there is still to visit "Manastirea Argesului", the church housing the remains of the romanian kings, but as it was completely rebuilt in the 19th century my interest for it's architecture is lower. Curtea de Arges is a small town very easy to get around. most restaurants are on the main street and I could find some take-away even in late evening. the town is a good starting point to cross the mountains on Transfagarasean, a high altitude and spectacular street over the Carpathians but also for a journey in the hill land below the mountains in the counties of Arges and Dambovita.Guest review byAndrei__FRomania - 10.0

From a nature perspective, absolutely stunning.
From a nature perspective, absolutely stunning. This area contains the southern part of the Transfagarasan mountain pass and there is a lot to see and do here. The scenery is spectacular - it also takes a long time to drive, so make sure that you have enough time. Try and avoid night time driving for animals (bears and dogs), but also for the fact that the road is extremely winding and tiring to drive. You will certainly see bears - the southern part of the road (Highway #7C) is a bear conservation area along Lake Vidraru.Guest review byGeurtCanada - 8.0

The property was close for visiting Cetatea Poenari and the Vidraru lake and dam. Easy to get there on the Transfagarasan road. A good restaurant with terrace was near the stairs of the Cetatea Poenari... I forgot its name... I didn't like the bathroom and the bed I had to sleep into... at "Livada cu meri" motel: ugly smell, poor sheets, no double-faced blanket-sheet... ugly floor, no carpet on it... And for these minimum conditions, the price of the "special Queen's room" was rather high, I must admit... The location was perfect, the house amazing with all the commodities, everything amazing. Very nice the background, clean, the breakfast just perfect and also the staff, nice and gently. The only small problem, the internet connection doesn’t work well in the room, although they have different free wifi and you have to change them every time in order to catch the good connection, but definitely it was an amazing experience, everything as you see in the pictures, maybe even better.Guest review byAndradaItaly - 10.0
