Rutete Eco Lodge is a great place to stay to discover the eastern region of Rwanda. The entrance of Akagera Park is at 20 minutes, which is nice for early safaris. The rooms are big, the bedding is comfortable. The common spaces are lovely decorated, the diner and breakfast were great, and the owner is so kind ! It was a pleasure to spend some time talking to her :) Do not hesitate to book in Rutete, one of the best hotels I've been to during my 2 weeks of holidays in Rwanda

Short drive away from Akagera (South Gate). Lovely garden, the staff is the greatest asset as they are very nice, flexible and accommodating. The food is great: very fresh, abundant and delicious. Highly recommended - we liked it so much that we also stayed there on our way back from Akagera.

We had an amazing time at Ihema Lodges! This place far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived until check-out we felt truly looked after. The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice details throughout. Enjoying dinner with a beautiful backdrop of the lake was a highlight in itself. The staff was very helpful and flexible and made preparing for our safari in Akagera National Park a breeze. We already miss the tranquility and calm of Ihema and will be sure to return soon. The room, the bed was so comfortable, it was really luxury 5 stars The staff was outstanding , Giovanni at the reception was so helpful, kind, and really knew how to treat the guests and make them feel special The pool was really nice and the views were spectacular At the pool bar we had a fun time with the bartender and the fireplace lit every night made the ambience magical The food also was really good and the fresh pineapple juice was really really good .
