- From $95.96 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 623 reviewsThe people make the difference. Sometimes you forget how good and kind people can be — and then someone like Richard (Richard and Isabel are the owners) comes along and reminds you. I arrived early at 08:00, before check-in time, after a long night train. I was tired, confused, and had many concerns about my ski plans (we dont ski in Israel, and it was my first time). Then I met Richard at the reception. He noticed my stress and calmly said, "Why don’t we start with breakfast? Allow me to take care of your belongings untill the room is ready." He truly wrapped me in care and kindness — and it meant the world to me. All my questions were answered by Isabel, who gave me great recommendations and guidance. Richard shared helpful ski tips, and I even received a lovely Easter gift — a small egg filled with chocolates. The place itself is very clean, breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the only downside is the distance to the ski area, which can be a bit challenging. To summarize — I 100% recommend this place. A huge thank you to Richard and Isabel for being the difference. All the best, DeanGuest review byDean KazazFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 99 reviewsThe staff was super warm and helpful from the beginning. The hotel has a lovely old interior that makes it super cozy, with lots of common rooms to hang out and meet people if you want. Breakfast and dinner are included and they were very tasty with lots of options. One of the ski options is nearby and it has a restaurant with great options for lunch and good prices.Guest review byVictoriaSweden

This very small village is difficult to get around without a car. There is no taxi service and the supermarket is quite a walk. That said daily trains take you to bigger centres in Sweden or Norway. Hotel did the best steak in Sweden.Guest review byJanAustralia - 10.0
I love to ski at Åre and go annually.
I love to ski at Åre and go annually. The mountain is excellent with a large variety of terrain. I mostly ski advanced terrain but there is also a nice mix of intermediate and beginner slopes. For advanced skiers, head to the VM:8. Its worth trying Duved for Intermediates and Björnen for the beginners. I usually go on the train from Stockholm which is very convenient and fast to go city center to town center. It's really nice to stay in Åre By where there are restaurants and stores. Apres ski at Fjällgården and Årehyddan are great as is the atmosphere at Broken.Guest review byelentophanesSweden - 10.0
Excellent place to relax.
Excellent place to relax. Fewer hiking trails than expected (or else I couldn't find them.) Easy train ride from Stockholm to Storlien, but the way back took very long (detour via Sundsvall). Ridiculously large shopping mall.Guest review byMarcoNetherlands
