A beautiful little historic hotel nestled in a walled garden in the north of the amazing Medival town of Visby. Our room was clean, cosy and comfortable.The staff were extremely helpful, giving us good local recommendations and completing bookings. The breakfast was a real highlight with delicious homemade goods and a good range of choices to keep everyone happy. We would definitely recommend Hotel Helgeand Wisby!

Location, stunning settings and building, amazing pool, and nearly impeccable staff service who were friendly, kind, and helpful. Remarkable experience exceeding my expectations. Safe for a solo female traveller. For a nightcap, the gorgeous bar ( with mixology service ending at midnight but other alchool served until 2 AM) was very convenient. I simply cannot see myself coming back to Visby and not stay at the Clarion Wisby again. Hotel crush in Gotland!

We stayed in the ocean front bungalow in the first row close the sea. It was fantastic! Two spacious rooms, fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary cooking facilities. We even had a first quality grill in the patio! The room was completely silent in the night, only the sound of the sea could be slightly heard. All bungalows (I would say real villas) are bit different, but ocean front might be one of the best:) In the first row bungalows there are also showers in the patio with warm water. There were some boardgames for kids in the room as well. Very friendly and polite stuff. Room cleaning service every day. Breakfast is ok also. For early check out they have breakfast bag for you, just mention in the reception that you need it. You'll get very good breakfast in the evening directly to your room. The swimming pool is nice and warm. Highly recommend ocean front bungalows! Only 10min walk along sea promenade to the old town via extremely beautiful botanical garden.

    Remote check-in and check - out ( key box with the code by email ) Easy to find. Not far from everywhere. Quiet and clean area. Comfortable bed. Apt has everything you need. I liked to have two big windows- day light it's always great. I ' d like to get back to Visby during a summer. Definitely I' d stay again at this place.

    It's a very cozy hotel close to the beach. We came there by bicycle from Visby, and it was a very pleasant ride with great scenery. There is a parking space for bicycles just outside the hotel, and the neighborhood is very quiet. The breakfast there was delicious, with a good variety of food and pancakes!

    Very easy check in, didn’t have to go to the reception. Amazing water pressure and immaculately clean bathroom. Bed was comfortable and black out blinds in the room, walking distance from the airport, and right by the beach.

    Arrived during medieval week, where the locals from baby's, to teens, to adult and the old, all get dressed in the local "traditional" costumes of an era long gone. Visby is one of the Hansa towns, so has great history of for the area and has kept its medieval look and feel with narrow streets (v.limited cars thank heavens), cafes by babbling streams, great restaurants with amzing staff who all spoke English - phew! If you want to kick-off your corporate shoes, jacket and laptop, head to Gotlands capital and use it as a base to see the rest of this amazing Swedish Island.

    Visby is indeed a beautiful city. We loved to stroll around inside and outside the city walls. We also visited many places around the island including Farö. We can highly recommend Visby as well as the whole island.

    Traveling to Visby for summer studies. This town is so filled with history from all ages that no matter where you turn to look, there is something interesting to see. Plenty of fun things to do, see and taste.
