- From US$123.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 2,382 reviewsMora Hotell & Spa is a very conveniently located hotel that is the perfect place to stay to discover Mora and surroundings and a gateway to other areas in Sweden. After a trip with the Inlandsbanan rail (during which we already had 1 night at the hotel prior to our train package), we returned to Mora for 3 more nights. Mora is very charming and the cultural cradle of Sweden and this can really be felt when spending time here. The biggest asset is the family atmosphere the owners, and in particular Patrick, create. Patrick makes time to answer questions, give advice and gives you that genuine feeling he is interested in his guests and proud of his hotel and Mora and will go the extra mile to see smiling happy faces. The breakfast is amazing, the trainstation Mora Strand is at very short walking distance and bikes can be rented at the hotel, which we did to reach Nusnäs to visit Dalahäst factories. Rooms are comfortable and the spa facilities really make you relax from the daily hustle and bustle at home...Guest review byRBelgium
- From US$87.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 219 reviewsWe traveled to Rattvik for a gig at Dalhalla. The cabin we booked was clean and spacious - a good sized kitchenette, with pots, pans, a fridge etc. The setting is stunning, as it is up a hill from the town/lake, and so the view from the rooms is beautiful. You are expected to clean your cabin before you leave - which wasn't an issue as cleaning products are provided. There is also an extra charge for linen (which is fine, and makes sense given lots of people bring their own). We took the train to Rattvik and so didn't have a car - the walk from the town centre is about 15-20 minutes and is uphill. Would definitely recommend!Guest review byIsaacUnited Kingdom
- From US$198.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 822 reviewsTällberg is a beautiful area to relax in, and the Green Hotel is excellently located with a scenic view over the lake and town. The lounge with fireplace makes for lovely winter evenings, whether having a night cap or playing games or having conversations with other guests. The restaurant offers great meals, from a large breakfast selection to its set courses. The old world atmosphere of the hotel is its best quality, and the friendly staff only add to this. The sauna and swimming pool also make it an ideal winter escape.Guest review byPierreSweden
- From US$150.57 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,949 reviewsIt’s a lovely family owned hotel with a very long history. The hotel is very cosy with lots of attention to details. We stayed in the main building and everything was easily accessible for my elderly parents. I celebrated my 60th birthday there and it was perfect with a beautiful mini suite and excellent food and wine. It’s a bit expensive but at least we felt it was worthwhile. So rare to find a good hotel that also has a good restaurant. The outdoor heated pool was a lovely place to relax.Guest review byYvonneNew Zealand

Beautiful location overlooking Lake Siljan.
Beautiful location overlooking Lake Siljan. There is safe access to the water at the lakeside. Tallberg comprises mainly hotels and private residences so there is not a lot to do there, but it is extremely relaxing and probably much busier in high season. June is a great time to visit. Road links to nearby Rattvik and Leksand are good and there are many restaurants and shops in both towns. Rattvik is a lively place. Tallberg is an ideal base to explore the Dallarnas region and not far to pop into Norway should you chooseGuest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Rattvik is a small town with lovely bars and restaurants. The lakeside area is beautiful and plenty to do around the lake area either walking down the long pier or enjoying the beach or swimming. Weather was amazing during our stay.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Room too small . No hot water.
Room too small . No hot water. Night tables at the beds very small. Bed very slippery and small. Difficult and sophisticate lamps in the room that you can not find how to switch them on-off. No light on balcony in the evening (controlled by them). Balconies moulded and need painting. Dinner was a disaster. Bad menu description and incomplete ; and very expensive dishes for so little food and particularly for a cold dish ( which is not mentioned in the menu). Wine prices 3 times higher than market price.Guest review byAndersSweden - 10.0
We could have stayed another day.
We could have stayed another day. Relaxing summer vacation town. Clean well kept. Quirky shops. Enough food places to offer choice. No fast food outlets which was great. Lovely little Asian restaurant up a side street offered buffet . People queuing for a seat. Brilliant pop up bar with food just outside station. Cinema thought we did not see it. Super helpful tourist information centre. Walkable area . More than suitable for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility. Cannot recommend this town highly enough. We only stayed two nights . That was planned . Went to a fab concert in Dalhalla nearbyGuest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 4.0

No reference in booking guide that ONLY tapas(grossly overpriced) were served for evening meal. You had to eat at 5pm or 8.15. After first (and only) course we decided to drive back to town 12kms to get some proper food. No management of any sort to be seen. Place seemed to be run by kind, well intentioned, students. Woodwork rotting on balcony of room 212! never again. Does not take AE although reservation was confirmed on AE card in your detailsGuest review byCharles AnthonyPortugal - 10.0
Nice small town at the lake. Good beach with shallow water.
Nice small town at the lake. Good beach with shallow water. You can hike, swim, paddle...Good store with a wide range of regional products. Nice restaurants and cafés - the Green Café at the station also has a local arts exhibition. Easy to reach from Stockholm and to discover the area by public transport, train or bus. For example, Mora with its Anders Zorn museum, Nusnäs with the dala horse production, or the shop of the traditional weavery at Insjön.Guest review byChristineGermany - 10.0
