- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 73 reviewsA very nice and helpful host. Probably the oldest house in the village, beautifully renovated, with many old artifacts (tools, photos, piece of clothing, shoes). We got a very large room, nicely furnished with old and new wooden furniture, a comfortable bed. A large, modern bathroom (bath tube and shower), with some old-style accents. A shared kitchen and a dining room are on the lower floor. You can also have your meal outside - there are some tables and chairs in a nice, quiet corner (expect some cats to visit you). The kitchen is well-equipped. You can prepare food there but there is also a nice, inexpensive restaurant 100m from the house (the grocery store is 50m away). No TV, no radio (what, actually, I appreciated) but a reliable Wi-Fi connection. Since it was really hot (30-35C), I was initially uneasy because of the lack of A/C. However, it turned out that the old house can keep a reasonably low temperature for most of the day. The village is not crowded with tourists. There are a few easier trekking paths one can take from there. You can easily (by car, by bus) reach mountain trails of any level of difficulty and length (e.g., starting from neighbouring villages or from Logarska Dolina).Guest review byMaciejPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 44 reviewsTourist farm Zavratnik is absolutely gorgeous. I loved every aspect of it. Owners are super nice! They treated us like kings. Everything we asked (instructions for mountaineering, hiking and attractions) was explained exceptionally from them. Breakfast was delicious! An absolute must. They even made us some fresh scrambled eggs. The view from the farm was gorgeous and everything was super clean. Room was clean, retro and we had two balconies.Guest review byViktorSlovenia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 109 reviewsIt was wonderful. 10/10 is not enough. The host is very kind and helpful. Building is quite new and all furniture and bathroom was made with excellent taste. It is situated in the middle of the Robanov Kot valley surrounded by mountains. Let's say that no phone service and WiFi is a plus. Shops are available in villages a few minutes by car. It is only 15-20 minutes to Logarska Valley (depends on how far you want to go into the Valley)Guest review byTomek WPoland

Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye.
Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye. We had coffee in the information centre in Solcava - staff were excellent. Did the scenic road looking down over the valleys - well worth the drive up and down.Guest review byDesUnited Kingdom - 6.0
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great.
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great. The grocery stores are severly lacking on fresh proteins. We cook alot and didn't like having to purchase plastic coated packaged meats. A decent butcher and pharmacy were at least 30 minutes away.Guest review byMary JoUnited States - 10.0

An excellent location for outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. The nature here is really beautiful and we visited this region several times. It also has several really nice restaurants with local specialties and organic food. This time we cycled to Pavličevo sedlo and along the panoramic road and went on a hike towards Matkov škaf. Last time we hiked to ancient cave Potočka zijalka and Ostrica mountain. We ate at the Majerhold mountain lodge below Pavličev sedlo, at the Žibovt farm by the panoramic road, and at the Ojstrica restaurant in the Logarska dolina. Everyone is very friendly. A bike or electric bike that can be rented is the most convenient means of transportation here.Guest review byMojcaSlovenia - 10.0

Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley.
Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley. The views are spectacular! The air is so fresh and crisp. It is very soothing for the soul. We hiked to Slap Rinka and drove the Panoramic Road. We would have liked to have more time for hiking and exploring. The only downside would be lack of restaurants. We were there in May, so I'm not sure if there may be more options in high season but we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner. The place we ended up was in Luce, Gostlina PR Lampi. The food was very good traditional Slovenian food and excellent wine. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was a joy to visit with.Guest review byElaineUnited States
