It was a relaxing experience for us in an open stress-free space to explore the indoors -outdoors multiple swimming and mineral soaking spaces.. Also , every morning we had a delicious breakfast with excellent eggs and meats, fresh veggies, fruits and breads, plus many coffee, water, and juice options. Since it was Christmas time, a beautiful tree was on display which brightened even more our meals together. In the evening the buffet dining experience was a great choice because a chef offers many special and traditional dishes prepared from scratch, quality ingredients full of flavor!! The spinach lasagna and cooked red cabbage were two of my favorites :-)) The server we had most of our stay was really nice to us. The front desk staff were friendly with patience answering our many questions and explaining how the facilities were set up and accessed by guests. All the pools are relaxing and surprisingly, they are not overcrowded. The spa is on an island which provides a park-like environment. Mainly known for its thermal baths accessed by an interesting bridge Every kind of architecture including brutalist and art deco.Fairly lively town centre with large park .Small but good museums.lovely river which runs into a large lake. Trnava is a quiet and peaceful city with lots of churches, an old town (the wall), and other places to visit! If you travel by car, it is easier to get to Smoljenice, Bojnice castles, and other attractive out-of-the-beaten-track places. The Synagogue (the cafe/ gallery) was attractive too. If you ever want to visit a middle size Slovakian town I recommend Piešťany. It is buzzling with life and has a lot of restaurants and cafes. The place is very peaceful and local people are relaxed and welcoming to tourists. The place is perfect for all ages as there were a lot of families with children as well as pensioners to see everywhere. Piestany is also a perfect starting point for making bike rides, especially along the river Vah on both sides upstreams and downstreams. This is a quiet quaint small city. The penzion is on the edge of a small center adjacent to a fine restaurant. Unfortunately I only arrived late Sunday night, and the city was really quiet. Streets were almost completely empty. The following day I strolled around the city center (pedestrian district) and it was a cute city with a really nice old town and great architecture. I've been visiting Piešťany from the UK for the last nine years for dental treatment at the Smile Clinic where I had implants fitted that feel completely natural unlike the horrible "plastic" dentures from the UK that never fitted well and wouldn't stay in place and couldn't cope with the most tender steak. It's a beautiful town by the Danube and has a wonderful French Restaurant (Le Griffon) and along the river is a micro brewery offering tasty ales and meals; what's not to like?Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom
