It‘s the first time I write a review on Booking because I feel a certain need for it. we stayed 10 nights with our little ones at Sand In My Shoes and it was THE perfect hideaway. Thong Nai Pan Noi is still the best place on Phangan - a cosy small village which offers enough restaurants, shops and massage studios - and of course a beautiful pitoresque beach. You wanna see lots of tourists and party all night…? Go somewhere else instead! The staff of Sand In My Shoes is far beyond regular. Maymay, Taylor and the boss, Ja, are true champions hospitality. The food is delicious and the whole hotel and all of it‘s areas are just beautiful

A Slice of Paradise! I had an incredible experience! The people were warm and welcoming, making it easy to connect with others. The beach is beautiful, providing the perfect spot to relax. The workshops were fantastic, offering excellent growth opportunities. The facilities were excellent and well-maintained, and the staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The place is few meters from the beach..you can easily go to the beach in your swimsuit if you want..it's on the opposite side of the road..you can see a corridor in front of the resort. Everything you need is just there. Perfect position! The receptionist with a beautiful name Palm, she's so lovely person, she can speak English very well and she's always there for you. So kind and professional! Also the guy who takes care of the swimming pool! He works with dedication! Always there! Never tired! Big smile and also he can speak English! I really loved stay there!

    We loved our stay at Golden Hill! The staff is incredible. They are kind, caring and attentive when we need a service. The hotel restaurant has a magnificent view and delicious dishes (You must try the Gaspacho!!). The hotel swimming pool, located below the restaurant, also boasts a breathtaking view; the perfect place to watch the sunset. The hotel also offers room service and a fast, reliable cab service.     Amazing experience, exceptional restaurant, we had 2 dinners and 1 breakfast there. The view is wonderful from the pool, the room and the restaurant. They have access to 2 beaches and both are incredible. The staff was very kind, they helped us with the rent of a motorbike and pickup from the pier. In general, it was very worth it for the price.

    Not the nicest part of island.

    Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

    Amazing place on the island.

    Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan. Many local and also westernised food places (Ann's and Shish Kebab were our favourites!), shops and of course pristine beaches. Worth hiring a scooter to explore around and enjoy the island vibes.

    Great location , lovely village great restaurants, not over crowded , family friendly. We ate in many local restaurants , the food was superb and very reasonably . Good variety of shops and supermarkets , we didn't travel outside the resort as didn't need to but plenty of taxis if needed

    Aside from the turquoise water, there is a reef just a few yards from the shore where you can snorkel and see beautiful fish, big clams, and coral. Although much of the coral is bleached and dead, there's enough living coral there for adults and kids to enjoy. Since the water is shallow, it's safe to walk all the way out where it gets a little deeper for better snorkeling. The beach is a white sand beach, but we recommend swim shoes which are available at a little grocery store, along with snorkel masks. Many beachside restaurants to choose from. Although there is no public shower, some restaurants have an outdoor shower available.

    I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

    Location - it was like a dream. And they had a broom right outside our door so when the inevitable sand was tracked into our room, we could clean it up. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.

    I was expecting Haad Rin to be more crowded, dirty, and over touristy. But it wasn't! Yes, there are plenty of shops and bars and the streets are a little lively, but the beach itself is spacious, clean, and so relaxing. We aren't partiers and we had a fantastic stay in this area.
