It was the best! The hotel is very clean and convenient overall. The room, the beach, the pool… the bed was I think the comfiest hotel bed I’ve ever slept in, the bathroom was amazing, wide, clean and practical. The staff was amazing! They were so friendly and all spoke very good English. The beach is really good too. At first I was scared because they warned us there might be jellyfish but we didn’t see any and everyone else was also enjoying the ocean, so I don’t think it’s common. The sunbeds get busy during the day but we always managed to find one. There are really nice restaurants/bars and massage places on the beach too next to the hotel. There is happy hours during the day at the pool bar and you get 1+1 on the drinks! The breakfast was good with selections wide enough. We haven’t tried the hotel’s restaurant but ordered room service once and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a top resort experience and we definitely want to come back.

The level of food and drinks was unparalleled—honestly, the best coffee we’ve ever had abroad, and every meal was an unforgettable experience. There were plenty of activities, including a magical James Bond movie screening under the stars (as a part of the "Living Room" restaurant). The peaceful integration with nature made us feel like we were in a luxurious treehouse. Our Hideaway Villa was perfect, with a fantastic bath and thoughtful mosquito management through fogging and natural repellents. Pool was amazing and so as the outdoors seating and dining area. unmatched privacy!! The hotel staff was amazing, offering free ice cream and complimentary activities like paddleboarding and kayaking, always with a helping hand. Even the transfer to the airport was flawless, with staff escorting us all the way to the check-in counter, handling our luggage from start to finish. The overall vibe was intimate and familial, making the experience even more special.

    A hotel paradise, beautiful gardens, multiple pools right next to the rooms or the sea shore. Superb, varied breakfast, extra strong expresso coffee. There's a lot to say... everything is perfect and I totally recommend this exotic location. We appreciate the surprise we received, receiving a cake and singing "Happy Birthday" by the terrace staff on the occasion of my daughter's birthday. Just a few steps away you can find several terraces, currency exchange, massage salon, with acceptable prices. Don't miss the trips to the islands and rafting on a flowing water in the middle of the jungle and elephants.

    I could talk about this hotel for hours. The whole complex is just beautiful, not only the rooms (we stayed in a room with a garden view), but also the common areas. The stuff was beyond kind, they helped us a lot. The breakfast was a feast, with the stunning view, it was our special moment during the day. Beach and swimming pools were also outstanding. The location was really convenient, within 10 minutes walk you can rent a scooter, do the groceries, go for a massage or eat well. I wish I could thank to everyone from the stuff, the drivers, the muay thai teachers, the cooks etc.

    Must visit island in thailand. Must visit for atleast 4 days, serene islands, very less population, all essential and necessary things are available. Great experience. Laem Had beach during low tide, loh chak for activities, Loh pared for great sunset at the pier. Great food and seaside culinaries available at every doorstep.

    We went in May with a group of friends and found it a low key and relaxing island. Beautiful beaches and a few places to explore. I think scooter hire is a must-have to be able to get around...that was a highlight for us just cruising around the island! The hike to the 'big tree' was way harder than expected but the gorgeous secluded beach at the end made it worth it. In low season it seems like at least half the restaurants and shops are closed so you can't rely on google to tell you where to go, sometimes you just have to drive around and see what's open.

    Lots of things to photograph here. Street photography, landscape, seascapes, drones, portraits, temples, wildlife. The Elephant Cave was awesome, and we even arranged to photograph it with our tripods. Lots of monkeys were running around. We took our scooters about 20 minutes away to a dock and launched drones to capture beautiful river deltas. About an hour away was a nice sunset spot called Samet Nangshe.

    If you want to visit a clean beach for swimming and water activities, this is not a good option. there was plastic and other rubbish every where, both on shore and in the water. The resorts locally are lovely though and still worth staying at. We stayed at Santhiya and it was wonderful. The best thing about this area is it is not overcrowded and the locals are lovely

    Thai Muang is a very quiet area, it is nice if you are looking to get away from the busy tourist areas. The beach is a long expanse of clean white beach with a few fisherman dotted along the coast. We visited the Phang Nga Coastal Fisharies Research and Development Centre in the area and it was nice to see their conservation efforts with the turtles. The traders and small local market in the main street sell fresh delicious Thai snacks and food.

    Not as busy as Phuket, less people but lots of restaurants with reasonable prices. Very family orientated, no night clubs & pole dancing girly bars. Khao Lak is what Phuket was 30 years ago but is becoming more popular.

    The island is great, just do not stay at the Santiva hotel it is horrible. It looks great… but the staff is a disgrace to thai culture and thai people. The people on the island are super nice and sympathic, just great as long as you have nothing to do with Santiva resort

    If you want peace and quiet and seclusion, this is the place...

    If you want peace and quiet and seclusion, this is the place! Be aware that you are there to relax and will be paying higher prices for items such as food an drink. It makes sense as they have to ship everything in. That being said, everything is made with care and delicious! They do have two happy hours from 5-6 and 9-10 on the beach. Lots of honeymooners! I went with my two adult sons, it was a stop in between Krabi and Phuket and it was perfect to get away from the crazy and chill. Take their boat transfer too!

    You should visit the crazy (and a bit scary) Wat Tham Ta Pan...

    You should visit the crazy (and a bit scary) Wat Tham Ta Pan Temple, which offers both a great cave and a super observation tower. In Somdet Phra Sinagarindra Park right in the city there are beautiful caves and wild monkeys. Phang-nga is also the best starting point for great boat trips to James Bond Island.
