Sand Beach Hotel is fantastic! Just a block from the beach with amazing sea views from the upper terrace. The staff (Shelby , Doris, Rose, Nasra and Teddy) is simply the best — so friendly and helpful. Great for families, with a lovely pool and organized activities. We had a perfect week in August and can’t recommend it enough!

The staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way for you. The rooms are nice and the property is beautiful. The location is a little less central than other spots in Jambiani so if you’re looking for a quieter spot this is a great option. It’s walking distance to all of the other spots you’d want to go in Jambiani. It’s a beachfront property with fewer people on the beach and not many people trying to sell anything. The food in the restaurant is great. There are monkeys on the property which is fun.

Alma Butique Hotel is an excellent place for people who want to detox and relax in a calm environment. Hotel is small (around 30 guests maximum; we benefitted even from the smaller presence) and with its beautiful garden guarantees privacy. It was open in 2022 so rooms have a brand new tasteful (boho style) equipment. The polite and kind houskeeping ensured that rooms an teracces were clean, drinking water supplied regularly (in big glass bottles) and we had a choice of teas (we could prepare them having a kettle) as well as coffee and coffee machine. The joint pool (we had also a small private one) allows swimming during low tide. Breakfasts were very good, notably as concerns warm dishes from the menu, prepared upon our requests. We loved having long breakfasts followed with a coffee at the terrace while enjoying the beatiful view at the garden and ocean with a gentle and warm breeze. The staff was very nice and always helpful (notably as concerns organizing excursions and transfer). One of us benefitted from spa (excellent masagge!).

Lovely staff, food, design. Very useful sunbeds on the beach and Mateo with his staff. We organised many excursions like dolphin, snorkeling with lunch on sandbank. The concept of eco hotel is very important and noticable in many parts of the hotel. Super!

The location is great. The pool area is always so clean and tidy. It's great spot for taking pics. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. There's fan and AC. The restaurant has really good and fresh food. The smoothies are so tasty. Staff is educated and polite. They're helpful with their advices and so funny too. Lily and Meri were so nice to us. They gave small tips which were so much needed for the trip. Our flight was in the evening and they're so kind to allow to make late check out.

Beautiful seaview room no 10, paradise gardens, lovely spa, early check in. Tasteful dinner entertainment. Food and drinks at pool bar (great grilled fish even on kids menu), dinners absolutely delicious (local, fish, bbq, salads, samosas, anything you can think of, all best quality).

Having traveled to over 25 countries and stayed in various resorts, hotels, and hostels, I can confidently say that I've never encountered a service quite like this. The staff here is exceptional, the hotel is impeccably clean with spacious rooms, making it the perfect place for relaxation. I highly recommend it. An outstanding gesture was when they offered me a room for the night, free of charge, despite my very late flight until 2 am.

Location is right on the beach, very central to all the restaurants and cafes. Great ocean views from our seaside spacious room and balcony. Breakfast was sensational with the best freshly squeezed juice! The manager Asis is super kind and invited us and other guests for seafood BBQ dinner for Christmas Eve! Very kind and our stay couldn't have been better! Highly recommend!!

Paje, beautiful place and beach, plenty of restaurants both on the beach and on the road. The only downside is that the beach is in the shade by 16:30 and very high and low tides makes taking a dip complicated !

A peaceful and welcoming town with a strong sense of community and a safe, relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a peaceful part of town, where there were noticeably fewer street vendors selling beads and souvenirs compared to other areas. This made the atmosphere even more calm and relaxing, allowing us to fully enjoy the local charm without feeling overwhelmed.

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.

Beautiful beach, warm and calm ocean to swim in. Lots of eating options, amazing people. Yes, there are people trying to sell you things on the beach - but was quieter than other beaches (Like Paje) and they are all respectful.

This place is a gem! A new hotel with a big heart, right by the ocean, surrounded by peaceful gardens and a stunning pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the breakfast is fresh and delicious, and very friendly staff. The connection to the hospitality school is inspiring—it's not just a great stay, it’s also supporting something meaningful.. It’s rare to find a place that feels this good in every way. It was a great stay for me and my family. The best part of this hotel is the entire staff. Extremely friendly and courteous.Always smiling and greeting at every opportunity.A special thanks goes to Fadhila who made us and especially my daughter feel very special and welcome.The Manager was also very friendly and polite.Overall I would rate my stay as exceptional.

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King...

If you have only stayed at Sheraton, Marriott, Ritz, King George or similar hotels - this is not your place. But if you are looking for clean beaches, clear sea, delicious food, peace, close contact with nature, friendly and courteous staff - this is it. There are many bars and small restaurants along the coast that offer a variety of food. In addition, in the town (of course African) you can buy products that are very fresh, and the people are friendly. Here you can buy handmade jewelry and souvenirs from the local population and the Masai.

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats...

Just up the beach from Paje town, a little quieter but thats what was nice. Wandered to different restaurants along the beach for lunch and dinner. Limited during off season but enough open. We came via Dar Es Salaam airport and ferry. If you can't get an e-visa before arrival, plan 2hrs to exit the airport. We missed our booked ferry and had to pay again for the last ferry on a different company. Used Zanzibar Quest to book the ferry and transport with exemplary service and support via whatsapp and email. The new travel insurance requirement $50p/p on top of the $50p/p visa fee is a scam that mars the experience. The amount of times we had to show our passport and visa / travel insurance was reminiscent of the cold war. Inefficient and overboard. So if you can fly direct to Zanzibar and use e-visa or have patience and a loose schedule. The drive to the Page beach area took about 1 ½ hrs with the first ⅓ taking ¾ of the time with a typical african road experience. Get a good driver. Driving licenses are issued by testing payment of fee. The driver booked by Zanzibar Quest was excellent. Great beach, wind was consistent during the afternoon to either kite or cool down. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Not a fan of the immigration process or the fees.

Paradise …Jim’s, Salim, Irene and Juliane were exceptional always ready to help. They just couldn’t do enough for you. The reception staff especially Yusef were very accommodating especially as we arrived very early from Dar-es-Salam! They let us drop our bags and enjoy all the facilities until our room was ready! We had a wonderful stay in Paradise.
