Throughout our stay, the service across all departments—from the restaurant to the pool—was consistently excellent. Travelling with three young children, including an infant, is never easy. But La Siesta made it feel effortless. Everything is thoughtfully designed with families in mind—spacious rooms, accessible amenities, and a genuinely welcoming attitude toward kids. Our children had a wonderful time, and as parents, that made all the difference. The hotel carries a unique atmosphere—calm, character-rich, and inviting. The mix of tropical greenery, tasteful design, and calming colours gives the place a relaxed, resort-style feel. It’s luxurious but not stiff, and that balance creates the perfect space to unwind. We experienced a small technical issue with the air conditioning on our first night, but what stood out was how efficiently and graciously the staff handled it. Without us having to insist or follow up, they upgraded our room and ensured everything was resolved. That kind of proactive hospitality is rare and worth highlighting. Though La Siesta is officially a 4-star hotel, in our view, it surpasses many 5-star properties we’ve experienced. On Grab this equates to about 80 - 90,000 Vietnamese Dong. The hotel is very large, has a massive poo, a private beach area and plenty of outside areas to seat. The food here is very good and quite a varied menu. The poolside bar is lovely and a full array of drinks and snacks. Our room was a two bed ocean front facing room. The equipment in the room was good, lovely bathrooms with rainfall showers. The beds were extremely comfortable, my wife is extremely fussy over bed comfort and she gave it 10/10. The aircon in te apartment was excellent, one in each bedroom and one in the lounge. The staff are to a man/woman lovely, nothing is too much trouble. When we had a small issue - not hotel or staff related James the manager listened and did what he could to resolve the issue - think German tourists and sun loungers! The communal areas are large and well kept, as are the extensive gardens. The hotel appears to cater mainly to Asian tourists, but it was superb for us westerners as well. The breakfast buffet is enormous and very varied. Prices in the hotel are higher than outside venues, but not stupidly so. My wife used the spa and said it was extremely good. The staff were outstanding (Linh, Tanh, Ranh) - always willing to help and provide suggestions where to go. We rented motorbikes from Hoi An Bike Rental (highly recommended - they have excellent/good condition bikes, first aid kit, rain ponchos and safety phone!) so we could visit lots of places; My Son, Monkey Island & Lady Buddha, and beautiful countryside. Beautiful old town. Would recommend a visit to Poison which does tasty iced coffee and good food. Hoi An roastery coffee is also a good stop for coffee. Faifo coffee is also lovely, go upstairs to get great rooftops views over the old town. Have a wander and bargain at the night market always good fun. If you want to get a feel for a sleepy town which is not a tourism magnet then this is a place to experience a real local town in Vietnam. Add to that the Quang Nam museum in the center of town is very interesting to visit. Hopefully there will be more information for foreign visitors around! The beach is not that far and it is worth to rent a bike or car and spend sometime around some of the villages around the coast there. They have a lot of characters. We rented the entire property for a group of 6 people. Everyone has their own room and bathroom which was great and the bedrooms are very comfortable and large with very big beds and phenomenal air conditioning. Communal areas need work tho!! We couldnt enter the kitchen due to a horrific smell from our arrival and there was no plave to relax by the pool. Outdoor furniture would be good. It’s a cozy little town, the ancient town at night with the river lined up with lantern boats, silk and leather shops, wonderful tailors shops, small temples, people enjoying Bai Choi game and singing, the basket boats, the lovely rice fields…..it was truly local and beautiful.Guest review byArshamahMalaysia - 8.0

This is an island. There are no hotels and cars on it. Only guesthouses and bikes. Great nature and diving. You can drive up to the lighthouse, but circular movements around the island are now impossible, in several places there are collapses of stones. Look for guesthouses with fresh good reviews, they may not have a sea view, but there will be clean comfortable rooms. Good diving spots! 1-2 days is enough for the tripGuest review byPolinaVietnam
