- From US$37.29 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 239 reviewsFirst of all, we had a very pleasant month staying there. And it exceeded our expectations. We spend Christmas and new years there and were invited by Anthony to a great feast. He also took us on a day trip to the southern most point of Africa and was always a great company for a chat. The place is well taken care of, quiet and in a safe neighborhood. And cool pool :) Thank you for everything! Please have in mind, that Cape Town is about 45 minutes by car away from there. Approximately 250-300 ZAR with Uber. But there are supermarkets around and the penguins are just a 10 minute drive away.Guest review byDvAweCyprus

Ivanka made us feel very welcome, comfortable beds and our own balcony. The Houtbay harbour is definetly something for any traveller to experience. World of birds was a great outing our 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed it. The fish market had the freshest fish too with great variety.Guest review byClintonSouth Africa - 8.0

If you have a rental car, then you have the perfect spot. you can go around short distance to Penguin beach, beach close to the guest house, the Navy museum etc. It is a small town to relax for a day or two.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Muizenberg is well connected to drive to Cape Town (20-30 minutes) and also to the Cape of Good Hope, or to travel both directions by train. We enjoyed the little cafés, restaurants and shops on the way to Fishhoek. It is was great to have a long beach in Muizenberg but at the time we went there we found lots of seaweed and there were some constructions going on that created unpleasant smells.Guest review byNadjaGermany - 8.0

What I liked most is the on suite toilet the tranquility of the place, the neatness and the comfortable bed. What I did not like was the fact that there was very little space for our food and drinks., maybe just to invest a small freezer or get another fridge., but otherwise place is awesome.Guest review byheidiSouth Africa - 10
Very impressed with Kalk Bay.
Very impressed with Kalk Bay. It’s been great seeing the progress in five years in terms of the upliftment of the area. Village was clean and we took the train in to CT central which was great! Loved walking to Muizenberg beach and we did an early run to Fishhoek. Never felt unsafe. Will def be back.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Beautiful location - great beach for walks and sun bathing.
Beautiful location - great beach for walks and sun bathing. There is a security issue with walking on the beach beyond a certain point ( specified at the entrance to the breach) - but if you’re aware, don’t carry valuables and stay within the ‘’safe” areas it is a beautiful beach. Lots of restaurants and small shops around.Guest review byMartinaSouth Africa - 10

Location to Kommetjie Beach and Fish Hoek is an easy drive. The accommodation is very basic and the furnishings outdated. We felt the room lacked privacy . The hostess was friendly and helpful. We had to park in the street outside the property.Guest review bycastignani-pretorius - 10

Quaint village with a lovely fresh market for stocking the kitchen, a couple of restaurants but you do not have to leave the house as it has everything! Scarborough has a laid back feel and many people walking and cycling.Guest review byMeagenSouth Africa - 6.0
Quiet nice town. We ate at a seaside tourist restaurant.
Quiet nice town. We ate at a seaside tourist restaurant. It had great fresh fish and we could walk there on the beach. The least favorite was the haggling and begging at the docks before and after the seal boat ride. This town was our first stop in South Africa and it really represented the divide between wealth and poor. I think to get around you will have to have a rental car. definitly drive part way up the cliff drive, the sceanery and plant life was very interesting.Guest review byJuliaUnited States
