Theres plenty to do and see, its a real destination.
Theres plenty to do and see, its a real destination. A few days here melt away in the mountains. Especially great if you enjoy hiking and being outdoors. Food options range from independent restaurants to grand resort buffets and be sure to try Chocolate memories of you have a sweet tooth. Its pretty much a one road tourist town and is super easy to navigate. It's where I run whenever I get a free weekend.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 8.0

We had lunch at the pig and plough, nice menu - slow service, however, we still enjoyed the food and the venue. The Thokozi restaurant and Deli, good food and a nice variety. Sandra se Winkel was an experience - well worth going to when you are in the area.Guest review bySimon Stewart BWBotswana - 10.0

This is a quaint small town village in the Natal midlands. There are farmer's supply stores, amazing homesteads, a variety of schools, and with proximity to the Drakensburg resorts, and good springboard into the mountains.Guest review byRodneySouth Africa - 8.0
Bergville is 'n pragtige plekkie.
Bergville is 'n pragtige plekkie. Soos met alle plekke in Suid Afrika tans, is die pad na en van Berville, vol slaggate en so ook in die dorp. Dit ten spyt, is dit die moeite werd om daarlangs te reis.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Electricity cut of many times during our stay due to the switch tripping. Drain clogged in shower. Carpets not vacuumed but only swept with a broom, which was evident in our continuous sneezing upon entering the room. Geyser switch tripped on checkout day and therefore we could not shower in our room. Rooms need to be better maintained and cleaned.Guest review byDevadasaSouth Africa - 10.0

There are several resorts and a number of smaller accommodations in this picturesque valley, a hotspot for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. It is close to the famous Sani Pass, where 4X4 enthusiasts can ascend one of the highest and most scenic trails in Southern Africa. The town has charming shops and eateries, and many of the resorts offer a host of activities, restaurants and outdoor adventure options.Guest review byT_M_S_MSouth Africa - 8.0
Beautiful part of the country.
Beautiful part of the country. Short drive to Nottingham Road, Spar, petrol station. It rained while we were there so we didn't get a chance to walk around. Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. We missed the TV but there is one in the lounge by receptionGuest review byAnonymousSouth Africa - 10.0

The drive there on a Friday and back to gauteng on a Sunday was peaceful, relaxed and meditative. The farmstalls are great stops even better than fuel stations for tasty biltong and home made food and south african made soaps and lotions. This road trip was so much funGuest review bySlosh
