The attention to detail left us wanting for nothing and we were absolutely blown away by the views, visible from everywhere in the cottage, including the shower! The braii on the balcony & watching the sunset over the mountains are truly highlights of a wonderful trip on the garden route. Close enough to Knysna for shops etc. but distanced enough to fully immerse and hear nothing but nature. Some amazing hikes nearby with waterfalls and streams to bathe in during the summer months. All the kitchen pots, utensils and crockery is Le Creuset, which impressed us, and was nice to use. The braai worked well and kindling and firewood was included. Great place for a week end especially in summer. Adequate shops, coffee shops etc. Nice fish n chips, restaurants and lots of lovely places nearby like Wilderness Knysna etc. Lovely drives up the hills. Views beautiful, riding bikes fine. A beautiful region, with excellent restaurants. The Grootrivier and (Western Cape part of) the Bloukrans River passes are exceptional, as is Nature's Valley. The Birds of Eden is THE world leading bird conservancy -- the biggest anywhere with free flying birds in a magnificent forest with a beautiful kloof, waterfall ,,, The nearby Monkeyland and Jukani conservancies are also probably the best in Africa. Natures Valley is very special.

Buffelsbaai is a unpolished gem and the ocean and surroundings brings a special kind of calm to your soul that is not easy to put pen to paper about! it is beyond your imagination! We wandered around and did the Buffels Bay Hiking Trail and had something to drink at the Beach Restaurant and the people attending to our needs went out of their way to be so very kind and attentive. Plettenberg Bay is a fantastic town. It can get very busy in season but an absolute pleasure out of season. Beaches are exquisite and there are plenty of activities in and around for couples and families. Must recommend the Waffling Whale at Formosa - food is delicious and the staff are amazing.
