Eugene was such a great host. He spent the evening on the patio with us after fixing us his famous Kudu burgers. The guest room we stayed in was spacious and very cool despite the temps already exceeding 30 degrees. The bed was comfy and we slept really well. Breakfast was again done by Eugene and was excellent. If you come to the Klein Karoo do yourself a favour and stay here even if it’s a bit remote.

It was exceptional. We were celebrating our relationship and had an incredible time. The hospitality and quality of the room and services really surprised us, as did the cleanliness and beauty of the entire place. We felt immersed in all the African fauna and flora. Loved being able to relax and recharge at this awesome property while being in the Karoo desert. The house was amazing with everything I needed, from the kitchen to the bathroom and the large living area. The little touches all make a difference to the feel of the place - the large spacious lounge, the beautiful wooden counter tops in the kitchen and the stone floor in the bathroom shower - loved it. In particular I loved the skylight that allowed me to lie in bed and see the stars at the same time! The air feels so clear there. Added bonus was having the dam in front of the house with a small water view, and having the remnants of the old railway station across the road gave me sense of history of the area.

Unbelievable view, outstanding quality in the cottage with every detail thought of. Hot tub, outdoor plunge pool. We couldn’t fault it. Service and hospitality was excellent even when we had a flat tyre on leaving!

Comfortable and spacious holiday cottage, a restored station, traditionally furnished, lots of homely touches, everything one needs. The splash pool was fun, and great to cool off in the heat. A warm welcome, a basket of tea and coffee, fresh pomegranates and the best apricot jam. Walks to look at plants and rocks, a game drive to see giraffe and antelopes. And just sitting on the stoep and ‘being’ in the space and tranquillity of the Karoo.

Such wonderful hosts! Very clean little space, had everything we needed. Extra towels were appreciated. The kitchen is completely kitted. Had tea and coffee and homemade rusks for us. Fans in the rooms. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
