It's my second time staying at Khiwane and it was once again amazing. The rooms are very spacious, there is a lot of space and the beds are very comfortable. There are a few restaurants around that are very good and it's close to the center of Hoedspruit. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in beautiful Hoedspruit !

Beautiful lodge, stylishly decorated with a great African look and feel, beautiful garden with pool just next to the green belt. The owner Fabian and all team were very friendly and helpful. Fabian communicated pro-actively and quickly. He picked me up from the bus stop without extra charge and I could leave my luggage for a few days as well. Great area for bush walks and drives - both can be done on your own - I saw giraffes, warthogs, waterbucks etc. Still close to toen - perfect location.

We stayed in one of the suites, and loved everything about this hotel. The staff were wonderful, the food was very good, the room was large and well-appointed, and we were right next to the park. We travel a lot, and this is one of our favorite hotels of all time. Greatly enjoyed it.

I had a fantastic stay, rooms are clean and spacious and have air conditioning, the staff is friendly and professional. There's a ample parking on the property with security. this establishment also has a well run restaurant with delicious food and a wood fired pizza oven. It's conveniently located in the centre with convenience stores nearby. The quality of the coffee was a big bonus.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, ensuring a restful stay. A big thank you to our housekeeper, Grace, for her excellent work. Another housekeeper even took a torn dress home to repair it — a thoughtful gesture that shows the dedication of the staff. This time, we were determined to leave a note to express our satisfaction. Tzaneen Country Lodge offers outstanding value for money, combining natural beauty, quality facilities, and exceptional service.     The stay was better than we have expected. The hotel is amazing so are the rooms. The team is awesome. Linda and Jennifer took really good care of us and Caitlynn, our guide was amazing. She listened to us and helped us find the animals we were hoping to see. Marataba made our honeymoon awesome. It's truly one of the best hotels we've ever been to.     I like the place because it is very quiet, one had a rest without any noise. The place is very near to Savannah Mall and we ate at Nando's. What i did not like is the restriction of lights at night, some of us we are students and study at night and the was no provision of a small table and a chair, such should be corrected.

    Great central point for exploring the Kruger Park, private game reserves, Blyde River Canyon and many other spots in the region. Many lodges to choose from, tours, charters, restaurants, shopping centers in the town. Agricultural hotspot, with many mango and citrus farms, plus macadamia and avocado farms nearby.

    The place is very spacious and calm. The full fridge/freezer was very welcome becaus we were on our way to Kruger Park and had our meat with us. Loved the privacy. Friendly host and help to locate a shop.

    Phalaborwa as a town was a deep disappointment.

    Phalaborwa as a town was a deep disappointment. The roads are in a very bad state and the general condition of the streets, pavements and rubbish lying around is a disgrace for the municipality. There are no streetlights working and the overall deterioration of the town is the last thing one wants to show overseas visitors. The tar road leading to the Kruger gate is obviously in a good condition but that is all. The Pick and Pay and the Spur are closed due to a fire incident and there are not a lot of restaurants to go to dinner for.

    The owner should consider removing all those concrete bed...

    The owner should consider removing all those concrete bed base,they are so uncomfortable and if you lose concentration moving around those small rooms you can easily get injured.The shower and toilets are so small ,it is difficult to move around. I was booked for two nights but slept for only night and had to find alternative accomodation.They also have an entertainment area so on sunday the 27th April 2025,they play loud music as early as 10h00.

    The place is in urgent need of an upgrade. Almost all the kitchen items were dirty. The pots and pans were old and scratched. The knives were blunt. The dishwasher was broken. The bathroom mats looked like they belonged outside. The grill was rusty. The microwave is extremely old. The living room couches were terribly dirty, and the cushions were worn out and flat. The owner’s personal belongings, like cool boxes, were scattered around. The tap at the kitchen counter had no running water. The shower mats were mouldy. The advertisement of the rooms on the website did not match what we got. The single beds were extremely hard, and the bedding was old. The dishwasher was extremely dirty, mouldy, and broken. The pool cues had no tips. And I could go on and on!@
