- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 307 reviewsThis guesthouse has a beautiful pool area with nice views. Upon entrance, there are ostriches (behind a fence) greeting you. The property lies next to a road, but there is almost no traffic, so it’s not disturbing. Staff is wonderful (especially Mr Superman John). If in Oudtshoorn, I would definitely recommend this stay, allowing you to do an ostrich farm tour on the property and to relax by the pool.Guest review byPieter-JanBelgium
- From US$126.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 780 reviewsThe accommodation was clean, neat and well appointed. The breakfast spread was excellent with a big variety to choose from. The restaurant was the cherry on top. It has a lovely atmosphere, and the food was top notch. The ostrich burgers were huge! The location is excellent, not too far from Oudtshoorn and close enough to numerous attractions.Guest review byIanNew Zealand
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 68 reviewsVery beautiful guesthouse in the countryside. Antelopes grazing just in front of our suite. The owner family and the employees are very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. Game drives in a perfect scenery. Not too many animals, which is very good. Much better than all those parks and reserves at the coast. A perfect stay just to wind down and relax.Guest review byThomasSwitzerland

Varley and his wife are wonderful hosts and warm people who went above and beyond to help and support us in a minor medical "emergency"! Thank you for that!!! The cottage is perfect for a short or long stay.
The cottage is perfect for a short or long stay. There is a large back patio with built-in braai, protected from the water and a front stoep to soak in the beautiful views. The bathrooms are really spacious with large walk in showers. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. There is no TV but fast wifi so streaming from your phone is easy.Guest review byElmarieSouth Africa - 8.0

we have been to Oudtshoorn several times over a number of years. The attractions are mainly the same but still worth a visit - however interesting to see how much the town has grown and evolved. The drive through the Swartberg Mountains is NOT to be missed. The primary reason we took this trip.Guest review bySumayaSouth Africa - 8.0

It is a very quaint and tranquil little town bout 30 km from Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape. There is an ample amount of restaurants and wine shops and a few souvenir shops. Spending a full day to experience the real charm of the little village. While there take a short drive into Meiringspoort and discover CJ Langenhovens carved stone with the inscription Herry, which was the name of his imaginary elephant or travel up to the waterfall, all a mere 10 or 12 kim from De Rust.Guest review byChrisfcsSouth Africa
