The general degradation of SA coastal towns is evident and...
The general degradation of SA coastal towns is evident and is costing the economy hundreds of millions as tourists are put off by high crime rates, poor service in some shops and municipal lethargy. Water restrictions are in place due to poor planning by unqualified municipal executives. Municipalities need to raise standards by hiring people who can prove their effectiveness and have qualifications and/or experience with testimonials. MacArthur pool was empty. Indifference seems to be the order of the day. Makro is a great store to visit. Addo game park is also recommended. Cape Recife is a great drive. The weather was warm and traffic flowed well.Guest review byBridgetSouth Africa - 4.0
This is a prime example of how Africa is doomed.
This is a prime example of how Africa is doomed. You can still see how beautiful that city was before the ANC took over and all of that beauty and the lifetimes of effort that went into creating it lies in wasted ruins.Guest review byRossSouth Africa - 6.0

Lady was there when we booked in.
Lady was there when we booked in. She responded when I had a problem but could not help us. Place is well located. We experienced several problems: 1. Privacy was limited. A child walked into our room while we we still in bed. 2. The bathrooms were incomplete and small. There was a strange smell. 3. The beds are uncomfortable. Hard. 4. We were locked inside the room and the key was just turning. 5. The carpets were a bit smelly. 6. The remotes had no batteries. No TV. 9. Excessive noise from outside as well as patrons. 10. We booked 3 nights but ended up staying only 1 night.Guest review byFreek StoutSouth Africa - 8.0

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lloyd Road Cottage...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lloyd Road Cottage in Gqeberha during a challenging time, as I was had to undergo from surgery at Life St George’s Hospital, which is located within a very comfortable distance from Lloyd Road Cottage. From the moment I arrived, Carol and her husband went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. The cottage itself is a gem! Spotlessly clean, spacious, and beautifully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The peaceful, well-maintained garden is a lovely retreat, and their adorable cat, Sneakers, adds a charming, homely touch. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the care and kindness shown by Carol and her husband. They treated me with such warmth and professionalism, making sure I had everything I needed. Carol even left me some delicious soup the night I was discharged from the hospital - a small gesture that meant the world to me in my recovery. The property is located in a safe, quiet area and offers excellent amenities like free WiFi, private parking, and a well-equipped kitchenette. The comfort of a private entrance, a pool, and easy access to outdoor seating in the beautiful garden added to the relaxing experience. I can’t recommend Lloyd Road Cottage enough for anyone needing a home away from home, whether for leisure, business or even a hospital visit like myself. Carol and her husband are exceptional hosts, and I’m so grateful for their hospitality during my stay.Guest review byFernwehZASouth Africa - 10.0

Mom's old age home is very close by (Stella Londt) + the small shopping center has everything, from Woolies to Clicks, to a Wimpy with brilliant service - to specialist biltong shop. We enjoyed dinner at De Swan which gives ladies a 50% discount on their meal on Wednesdays. Also, a unique ladies clothing store, with beautiful original dresses. The suburb is clean, well maintained, there is a park for children, a miniature railway and feels safe to go for a morning/evening walk/run.Guest review byRobinSouth Africa - 10.0

The beach was incredible, with perfect weather, and the property’s location near the beachfront was ideal. We ordered from Mozambik, and the food was fantastic. The property was spacious, well-equipped with beautiful amenities, spotless, and very comfortable for sharing with children. Having three TVs in a two-bedroom setup was a great touch. Truly excellent value for money.Guest review byMaditshabaSouth Africa - 8.0
Driving in Gqebera is always a blissful experience.
Driving in Gqebera is always a blissful experience. The well-maintained tarred roads make every journey smooth and enjoyable. It's a refreshing change from the usual bumps and potholes found in my hometown, and it truly enhances the overall driving experience in the area.Guest review byZimkhithaSouth Africa
