Elegant lodge, with air-conditioned generous rooms Staff very attentive and adaptable, ensuring vegan as well as vegetarian options. Amazing breakfasts, served in poolside dining toom overlooking the garden.. extended,access to coffee,and tea. Access to a wide-screen TV for sports viewing if wanted (we didn't) Staff happy to arrange activities, taxis, and advise about alternative dinner options when their kitchen closed for the evening to allow their staff to celebrate Christmas evening with their families. We will happily return.

From the moment I was picked up at the airport, my stay here was exceptional. I felt genuinely welcomed by everyone — the receptionist, the staff, the waiters, and even the chef, who personally made sure I was happy with my meals. The waiters were always attentive. All the staff had great local recommendations. Meeting the owners in person made the experience even more special. Their warm hospitality created an atmosphere that made me feel like home. It’s a place I will be coming back to. I can’t recommend it enough!

It was like a slice of paradise. Staff were incredible from the first step in the door, we felt so well looked after. Bryan also organised trips and gave us ideas of places to visit, and booked things for us, he was amazing. The pancakes at breakfast were like doughnuts and my daughter adored them ( she is 20!)They made fresh tasty omelettes or eggs if you wanted them. They even had Twinnings tea :) It was very quiet and had a lovely atmosphere. It had 2 pools and you could have food or drinks brought to you by the pool side.

    Bayete Lodge was a great stop for our trip to Zimbabwe and it's in a good location. All the staff were so polite, welcoming and helpful. The food was fantastic. Breakfast was opened earlier than scheduled on several mornings when guests had early pick ups and they vary the hot specials offered every other day which was nice. We also had dinner at the hotel which was very good. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Thoroughly recommend it.

    The hotel is a gem. Walking distance to the falls and the meeting point for white water rafting and many other activities. The staff is friendly and always willing to help out wherever they can. The room was small, but super comfortable.

    We visited the Falls in dry season so a little less active.

    We visited the Falls in dry season so a little less active. A lot of fun excursions for nature and safari also available. Pay attention to temps and humidity. If you choose to check out Zambia, I would consider booking a tour company. A long walk plus taxi otherwise.

    The falls are breathtaking, the activities in the area are numerous. The shopping is interesting, nice places to eat, we really liked ‘the 3 monkeys’, great pizza. Lovely people and it felt safe during the day. Got over the painful harassment at the markets and up and down the street. The heat is exhausting.

    The visit is well organised with well marked and positioned viewing points. The pathways is well made although in a couple of spots a little steep - you need to be careful not to slip. Be prepared to get a bit wet from spray.
