Whitsunday Sands Resort is uniquely located on its own private peninsula, by the turquoise waters of the Great Barrier Reef. It offers all guests private access to 2 separate, magnificent beaches. On the eastern side of the resort is Horseshoe Bay, rated as one of the best beaches in Australia, while on the western side is the picturesque Greys Bay. You can enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset over the water on the main land, from the resort. It was a comfortable stay for the purpose of our trip (stayover en route from Townsville to Mackay). The room would have been too small for a longer stay with my children of 16+. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location. Parking close to accommodation.

The apartment had a fantastic view and it was nice to have so much space! It’s starting to show a little wear, but still great. The AC also worked very well, and the property manager was very responsive.

Guests enjoy a swimming pool and a free transfer service from the airport or port. A complimentary golf buggy is provided for use. The apartment is spacious, clean and comfortable. The balcony is large and the view is spectacular. Loved watching the wildlife especially the wallabies feeding below the balcony every evening. Maree was very easy to communicate with.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! The location, secluded and super relaxing, but with many activities to do if one is a bit more active. The staff which is super lovely, personal and extremely helpful (special mention for the help received when we had issues getting there due to a delay in our plane and for arranging our day trip to Whitehaven). The structure, luxurious even in the smallest details such as the amenities and decors. Really, a true paradise! Could not recommend it more.
