We had dinner at Matara Ambula Restaurant nearby, which was also good. If you are looking for a calm place away from the noise, this is a good option in Nuwara Eliya.

Their warmth, combined with the delicious food they served, added an extra layer of comfort to my stay. I highly recommend Natural View Resort to anyone planning a trip to Nuwara Eliya and I can confidently say I’ll be returning on my next visit. Tip: For exploring the area, I strongly suggest asking the owner to be your driver and guide. You’ll see more of Nuwara Eliya at a fair price and with much more trust and ease.

The views were great, the staff was extremely cooperative and made sure to go the extra mile like arranging a poolside BBQ for us. The rooms were aesthetically pleasing and cleaned well. Breakfast, tea time snacks, and dinner was delicious and presented beautifully each time. The food was not very expensive either; it was good value for money.

Do not assume this is a luxury hotel. A lot is missing for what many people expect. HOWEVER if you like to experience and see Sri Lanka in its absolutely glorious untouched and natural state then this is possibly the only place you should visit. Despite giving it a very average score for facilities and luxuries the staff, the experience and the location make up for it in spades. Come here before Sri Lanka is subjected to the mass tourism that’s in the pipeline. The food is also authentic, plentiful and extremely tasty.

Stunning property — there are 6 chalets and 1 family bungalow nestled among a 22-acre tea plantation, a walking path, lots of flowers and trees and right by the Castlereigh Reservoir. My elderly parents and I had a very comfortable 2-night stay in the family bungalow. The staff are friendly! We had several meals on-site during our stay; breakfast and lunch served outdoors with incredible views and dinner served in a cozy dining room. My fave was kayaking on Castlereigh Reservoir — extremely serene and peaceful! Absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was wonderful!
