The property is located on the banks of the Rapti River, 32 km away from Bharatpur Domestic Airport and Narayan Ghat Bus Stand. The famous Chitwan National Park is 100 metres away. The Lodge treated me like a valued guest and were willing to do things to accommodate my needs. They were always smiling and cheerful. The Lodge was across from the National Park so it was easy to do a safari, a bike ride or a boat ride. Thanks Guide Sagar for my 4 guided adventures where I was able to see a rhino with a baby, some gaur, a monitor lizard, lots of birds, elephants and deer. I will be back to find the tiger that we heard in the grass.

Surrounded by greenery and situated across the Rapti River, Chitwan Village Resort is just 300 metres from Chitwan National Park’s jungle safari area. The property offers free Wi-Fi access in its public areas. Manager was super nice. Family business. All staff extremely friendly & helpful. Upon arrival, the manager gave us many options for safaris. I did not compare or check other alternatives, so I was a bit apprehensive, but our choices from his safari offerings , with guides on his staff, turned out to be fantastic. Breakfast was ok for me, but next day requested fresh vegetables instead of pancake, and request was promptly fulfilled. So most highly recommended on all accounts.

Nepali and continental dishes are served in the open-air restaurant. The terrace is set up to have panoramic views of the Rapti river, with occasional elephants walking by. Our stay at Sapana Village Lodge was fantastic. One of the highlights was the opportunity to observe and interact with the rescued elephants. Every morning and evening, we could watch them taking a bath in the river, and we also participated in the feeding activity in the morning. The staff at Sapana Village Lodge are incredibly nice and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were always available with a smile.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and a highlight of my visit. The rooms were clean, and cozy, and offered a peaceful connection to nature.
