My expectations were quite high already before going to this hotel, but they were still exceeded. The views were exquisite, the location was quiet with two lovely restaurants nearby and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Can't recommend Tenuta del Poggio Antico highly enough!

Private and quiet. Large space with outdoor court yard. Very convenient to public transport. It was sparkling clean and many details well taken care of. Host met us personally to brief us on the amenities. Even offer to store out luggage and send us to train station.

Very stressful drive to the hotel via the pedestrian road. Need for expensive parking payment outside the hotel. Basic breakfast.

Didn’t like the fact that on departure I was presented for a bill which duplicated a previous payment for all rooms via Booking.com. The way it was presented at checkout implied they were trying to get me to pay twice for the accommodation! On challenge, they immediately withdrew the invoice and presented an alternative correct version.. far too quickly if they truly believed the original invoice to be correct…
