The views are amazing and I enjoyed the great breakfast! Also, the sauna was a nice surprise and easy to book online, after 30 minutes someone came to the room with robes. I highly recommend this hotel.

I last stayed at the Hotel Post more than 30 years ago. It was good then. It is brilliant now. A lovely quiet room with a very comfortable bed, so effectively sound-proofed that I could hear nothing of a party (including a drummer) that was in a nearby function room. A good en-suite bathroom. An excellent smorgasbord breakfast. A restaurant with an extensive menu. And very pleasant and helpful staff.

The Hotel Hecht Appenzell is situated in the centre of Appenzell, on the edge of the pedestrianized area, and offers you nicely renovated rooms and free Wi-Fi internet access throughout the hotel.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. I arrived at 22:00 and left at 7:00 in the morning, so experienced little, but fair. Breakfast was nice too.
