The double room was very spacious. It had a nice sofa, as well as a lounge chair. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. The room was at street level, but with the triple-pane windows closed there was zero street noise. Closing the windows was possible because it was one of the few air-conditioned rooms. The hotel is maybe a 15 minute walk from the train station, and less than a 10 minute walk from the Theatre du Passage which serves as the central point of the annual NIFFF (Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival). There are closer hotels, but this one is close enough to be convenient.

Located in the foothills of the Jura Mountains, the elegant Hotel Les Vieux Toits in Hauterive is surrounded by vineyards. It offers free Wi-Fi and serves light meals.

This place is by far the largest room we have in our 2-week long trip in Europe. It is a nice large studio with an extra bedroom. Some views to the village street, goats and hills at the distance. Nice and quiet. No AC, but it was fine for us in early September. I'm not sure how it is in the heat of summer. Breakfast brought to our room in the morning, very nice host who likes to please her guests. Pay with cash.
