Jacqueline and Stuart were welcoming, gracious and had genuine concern for the comfort and well-being of their house guests. We visited during very treacherous weather conditions but they were a calming presence and offered good solid advise for our onward travels. If we visit Oban again we will most definitely stay at the Rose Villa Guest house. Our room was well appointed , very clean , offered instant hot water shower and had all the comforts you would expect in a top notch hotel room. Good job Jacqueline and Stuart !!

Easy to find, easy check in, hospitable owners, nice views, quiet, relaxing, comfortable, nice continental breakfast. Will definitely use again. Has storage space available for bikes.

We had a most fabulous stay at Aspen Lodge in Oban with spectacular mountain scenery from our balcony. Carol was a most wonderful host whom my son had a wonderful time chatting with her about whisky as she used to work in Oban Distillery. She gave him a lot of tips about whisky and also talked about her family who were also in the whisky business. There are 2 ways of getting to Aspen Lodge - one via the rolling hills with animals and highland cows roaming freely and the other route was via a golf club., Our GPS took us via the rolling hills route and at one stage we seemed to getting away farther and farther so panicked and turned back. Luckily, we met a lady along the way who came across Aspen Lodge signage and told us to go back the way we went and assured us it was the right track. Once we reached Aspen Lodge, our breath was taken away by the magnificent room decor and gorgeous mountain scenery. We had a balcony and it was so relaxing to sit outside and admire and enjoy the scenery. My son even did his stretching exercises on the balcony. One morning, we had breakfast on the terrace just to soak in the view. The decor is very classy and tastefully furnished with an amazing bathroom. Loved Carol's speedy response to our queries on many things even before we arrived and she is so knowledgeable and able to make suggestions and recommendations. She sure knows how to look after her guests well and make them feel at home. Her awesome hospitality is second to none. We left behind a bag of clothes and Carol quickly messaged us and luckily, we were still in Oban, so went back to collect.

Dungallan Country House is wonderfully located; house, grounds & views are beautiful. Free parking is available. The service is truly personal & our room was great. The whiskey bar should please connoisseurs; there even is a library. The breakfast was delicious.

We chose the Oyster Inn for several reasons. In house restaurant, on-site parking, in room bath and in house pub. It was close to Oban yet far enough away to avoid traffic noises in the room.

On top of breathtaking location, where we got to eat with a view of the Loch, the staff were super helpful, really friendly and efficient! The food was also super delicious, the breakfast was outstanding! the facilities were great, the room was super clean and comfortable. We travelled around Scotland and this location was definitely the highlight of our trip!

Breakfast is fantastic, always included, and served in a patio with a wonderful view on the loch. You can choose different kinds of fresh pastries, fruit, cheese etc. and order a hot meal (e.g. Scottish breakfast) on top of that. The hotel is very close to Oban, making it the perfect choice to spend the night after a day trip to the nearby islands.
