Beautiful hotel with a swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. The staff were really helpful and nice. We spent a magical weekend in the castle, with its stained windows, staircases, and fireplaces. We loved the breakfasts a lot. The surrounding grounds were perfect for relaxing walks.

amazing location, spotlessly clean rooms but their greatest asset is their staff. I have stayed here quite a few times over the years and have always been so well looked after by their staff but they went over and above my last visit. I lost my iPad and was panicking as it was new and I possibly had not set up the security features. I rang and left messages as it was quite late at night when I realised it. By noon next morning, it had been found by (thank you Jack or Justin!) and posted with insurance on the fastest class of mail (thank you Martina !) to me - I received it safely and wrapped like it was eggshells within 48 hours. I am very grateful and appreciative of their honesty and promptness in getting it back to me. I can not recommend Talbot and the wonderful team there enough!

Lovely staff great food and fabulos bedroom We got up graded as they were launching their apres ski hut and wanted to ensure we got a quiet night -which looked brilliant fun but not for us two oldies who drank brandy in bed! Fire in the bar very cosy and Stamford is a treat especially on market day (Friday) sadly I had to work !
