This is guesthouse with simple room facilities, but it was clean, and most importantly, we managed to see the aurora from our room itself so that was great! It was also worth it to get the mountain facing rooms - the view would have been very different as the other set of rooms face the carpark.

The rooms are fairly new, and spacious! Very comfy wool blakets and chairs and good wifi, it was actually nice to spend our evenings in the room after a long day of driving and hiking around. The dinner and breakfasts were ok, but not outstanding to write about.

Definitely the best accomodation we had in Iceland. The cottage we stayed was spacious and very lovely with all necessary equipment. the parking in front of it was a bonus.The breakfast was fresh and very delicious. the staff was extremely helpful. Check in and check out very effective.

Beautiful hotel in a picturesque setting with a view of the nearby glacier if the weather is clear. We loved the restaurant in the hotel and our service was excellent. This was the only Fosshotel our group stayed at while in Iceland as they were generally more pricey than our other accommodations, but we thought it was well worth it!
