La Casa Rosa was a huge positive surprise for us. If only had we known how nice this place was beforehand, we would've booked for more nights. First of all, the house is in a very calm hill, surrounded by nature. The hills' view from the windows gave us the nicest wake ups. Maria Paola is very sweet and full of resources and tips. If she recommends you a place to eat or where to go, trust her! Otherwise, just stay in for dinner, Andrea's food will be on top of your list of best Italian food ever had (although I'd advise not to eat beforehand, as you'll get lots of food). The swimming pool was a nice place to relax on warm days. Here you can lay on a sunbed (or under a parasole) and read a nice book with the relaxing sound of crickets in the background, or play pingpong if you'd like to be more active. The house is very close to the Cinque Terre, nice for a day trip(s) (19 kms from Levanto, where you can take the train or ferry to the Cinque Terre). Extra tip: go to Brugnano in the evening. It's a pittoresque old village, you'll fall in love with it in its small streets. Extra extra tip, for meat lovers: have dinner at the "Bisteccheria" in Brugnano, you'll not regret it. A beautiful hidden gem in nature! The place is absolutely stunning and very tranquil. We enjoyed the breakfast outside on the terrace and even the evening under the stars, with a the animals passing by. We saw a dear and a boar with babies. When visiting Italy, don’t forget to visit Maria!

The accommodation was spotless and very well maintained. Great bathroom with a good-sized shower! Although no breakfast is stipulated, Stefano the host would deliver some croissants and /or focaccia fresh from the bakery for breakfast. You could enjoy this with the tea and coffee making facilities in your room. Great value for your money.
