Wonderful experience! A beautiful family-run hotel overlooking the valley and hills, with the sound of a river nearby. The hosts are marvelous, exceptionally kind and welcoming, and were helpful throughout my stay, especially with helping me plan my time in town, and bus schedules for my onwards travel. They were even kind enough to drop me off at the bus station on my way out. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. The view from the window and terrace is beautiful. And the town center is a convenient 5-7 minute walk away. The breakfasts were wonderful as well, with variety each day! Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

This has been our best stay in Sri Lanka without doubt. Renu is an incredibly inspiring woman, mother and co-owner who will do everything in her power to make your stay intimate, comfortable and convenient. She puts an umbrella in front of your door when it rains; she looks out the window to see how far you are to prepare breakfast; she brings everything to your table and removes it quietly. Not to mention the room, with its high double roofed ceiling that makes you feel like you’re in a nest on a treetop. It’s spacious, spotless clean (no sign of dump despite daily rain in Ella) and everything works perfectly, even though it’s literally a hanging cottage. The view from the bed/balcony is breathtaking and different every day, and you even see the famous train passing at your feet. DIGITAL NOMADS: we had quite good wifi, enough for videocalls most times of the day, but bring a sim card with data just in case.

Very nice property and great location. Walking distance to little Adam’s peak, Nine Arch and ‘downtown’ Ella. Quiet surroundings compared to downtown Ella. Dom, the host, was very helpful. I loved the hammock and the view! I would stay here again!

It was a very nice and cozy family to stay with. The location is amazing! It’s within walking distance of the center, or the owner is happy to take you there with his tuk-tuk. You have a view of the waterfall and a beautiful landscape, yet you’re still close to the center. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka extensive, local, and incredibly delicious. We highly recommend this place to everyone. Don’t hesitate!

This is the best homestay that we’ve had in Sri Lanka! Wijith Wimalasooriya and the whole family were extremely kind and helped us with doing the wash and recommending places to visit. They even arranged a tea tour for us. Her husband is a great tuktuk driver and the 2 kids are very funny and kind. The place is clean and quite, while it’s very close to the city center. The breakfast was perfect!

Fantastic welcome and helpful throughout our stay. Incredibly located with stunning views from the balcony over the mountains, valleys and bit outside of hustle bustle city centre. Great room with everything that is required including great wifi, power socket by the bed, tea/coffee making. Wonderful breakfast. It was great sitting on the huge balcony and watching the scenery, even raining while we were in Ella,. You will be asked what time you prefer breakfast and it’s served on your private balcony. Everything was simply brilliant! We would have stay longer without a doubt. Unfortunately time was crossed :( .If we ever return to ella, definitely we will stay here!. 10/10 property :)).
