Huge home with several private rooms on a huge property in the countryside, 20 minutes by car from Tomar. More like a B&B than a hotel. Host is a lovely lady who goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant, right down to allowing us to leave our dog in the room even though we told her he might cry. Spotlessly clean with screens on the windows so you can sleep with them open and enjoy the fresh country air. Lovely varied breakfast, including eggs, which is so appreciated by North Americans. There’s even a pool. totally worth the drive to the city.

On the banks of Nabão River, in the heart of Tomar city center, Thomar Story is located in a fully restored 19-century building. It combines history with contemporary interiors and free WiFi.

Nice property, with a clean room that also had an outdoor space. The location was perfect, as we could park for free across the road and could walk to the centre where there were several nice restaurants. It was also at walking distance from the castle. Easy check in with nice staff. Good breakfast. We had a lovely stay :)

Large hotel. We were given an upgrade due to motorbike accident and husband with crutches so he couldn’t walk far. Room comfortable with plenty of room. Bed delicious.

Lovely pool and very close to the centre. Rita had even had some food for our cat. The breakfast was great and lots of option. AC was working well and needed during those hot days.

Lovely historical building on a central street (not noisy at night even in the middle of summer). We had a great time and decided to stay one extra day. Jorge made us feel welcome and treated us to local history and tips on the best places and times to visit.

Located just over one hour drive from Lisbon and a few minutes from Fátima Sanctuary, one of the most centers of pilgrimage in the world, is the Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mór.

Utterly charming and beautiful farmhouse on well maintained property. Plus sheep and a donkey. Would recommend. We got there at the start of the season and the room was a bit musty but it aired out quickly. They also had good local recommendations.

The room was clean. The reception was super friendly and helpful. And mostly and more important it was good location for first time traveller in Portugal, Torres Novas. There’s a restaurent on the main floor and many Terasses downstairs where you can eat or have a drinks ($). Plus the amazing view you have on the Castle! Wow
