Our host, Carmen, so much kind, sincere, very helpful person, suggesting valuable recommendations, so nice chatting with her. In the surroundings great walks for my dog and cows with bells just nearby, truly Swiss atmosphere. Murten see with its old houses worth visiting especially by sunset, great atmosphere. Parking available, wifi super speed. Very close to Bern and Fribourg to explore. Payment possible in cash or by card.

The bright rooms at the Truite Hotel feature wooden floors, a private entrance, and a bathroom. Everything. It's a truly cute historic hotel in a beautiful gorge I would never have found on my own. The rooms are nice, in a sort of historic-french decor. Breakfast is fantastic, nicely set, French bread, coffee to order, organic local yogurt, etc. Peaceful and quiet, a bucolic little river flowing by, walking trails, trees... it is all that it seems and more. Oh and fresh trout for dinner. What the French can do with a little butter, flour, lemon, and salt and pepper is amazing.

One night they called all over town to get me into a busy restaurant because I had (shortsightedly) not made a reservation anywhere. Another day, I was unsuccessful in my hunt for French onion soup, and they asked the chef to prepare it, especially for me! I’d particularly like to thank Sarah, Nelson, Sébastien, and Imrân for making my weekend so relaxing. I have already booked my next stay and cannot wait to return!

Located at Neuchâtel's harbour, Hotel Beaulac is just a 2-minute walk from the historic city centre and the university. It features a restaurant with a lakeshore terrace, a sushi bar and a rooftop bar on the 7th floor. We had a lake view room, that besides the amazing view over the late with mountains in the background, also gave us a sense of privacy with a large terrace. The hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool and terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Especially breakfast, room was also ok but I didn't find any channel in English or French in the TV. I was looking at the Olympics and it was ok in German this time.
