This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. It offers free WiFi.

The delicious breakfast buffet consists of mostly local produce as well as homemade jams. In the evenings, guests can relax on the terrace with a good Saxon beer or wine. The location is about 20 minutes from the ferry/S Bahn. The room is very clean, cozy and welcoming, with the forest in the back. It has a lovely garden. Key pick-up process is easy, and the breakfast is amazing with so many choice of marmalades. The staff are all friendly. I find the shower very comfortable. Definitely worth the money and want to visit again!

Breakfast is served at the property, and a restaurant is located 30 metres from the property where regional dishes are served. Guests are welcome to relax with a drink in the lobby, which also has a separate smoking area, or enjoy a homemade cake in the café. A perfect place to go out and explore this beautiful part of the world. Exceptionally gracious hosts who provided me a great explanation of a day's hiking trail. I had a wonderful time and hope to return.

Situated in Bad Schandau, 800 metres from Saxon Switzerland National Park, Parkhotel Bad Schandau mit SPA boasts a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the river. The hotel has a spa centre and sauna, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. We traveled by bikes to Bad Schandau so we could store them in a bike storage (they have 2 storages for bikes and e-bikes). the staff at hotel was very kind, smiling and helpful, we also received free pass for travelling by bus & train in the surroundings. The breakfast was fabulous and beds were comfortable.
