I had an amazing time at Papaya Lodge! Every morning, I was lucky enough to have toucans and hummingbirds visit right outside my window, along with other beautiful birds. Honestly, it was exactly how I imagined Costa Rica. The whole experience was above my expectations. It felt like being a modern-day Robinson Crusoe, but with all the comfort. The beds were very confortable and the terrasse (with jungle view) was great. Highly recommend if you want a peaceful escape with a touch of adventure. I will be back for sure !

We just loved our short stay here! The lodge was beautifully made with so many nice details, realy showing some great skills. The kotchen was fully equippes although we did not use it. The owners were lovely people. And the welcome with wine and chocolate was amazing! Unfortunately it rained heavily for most of our stay but we had a small window to listen to and watch birds in the morning.

The terrace and the bird filled exotic garden. Very friendly and helpful owner. Perfectly made and timely Costa Rican breakfast. Lovely swimming place nearby and we saw toucans in the trees when we walked the trail behind the cabin. We loved it.

Karole is absolutely amazing. The apartment is on a family estate, it’s beautiful and very well furnished. We felt at home, far from the tourist area, in nature. We saw a lot of toucans and other amazing birds. Thank you so much. We had a blast!

Hello, we are a family of 4, Farnsisco the host is a great guy who made us feel at home from the first minute. The place is just incredible, amazing views, great location, close to town but on nature. The apartment has everything we needed and it's very well equipped. Hilghy recommends!! This is a magical place -- we were escaping the Minnesota winter to bird, hike and enjoy Costa Rica, and our stay was absolutely wonderful. We were even invited to Christmas Eve dinner with traditional Costa Rican food. We saw incredible wildlife, facilitated by our hosts, and would come back again in a heartbeat.
