The Highland getaway was amazing..very much 5 star.. had things we didn't think we needed! The attention to detail was above and beyond. Even dressing gowns and slippers. Beds were super comfy. Shower was powerfully and hot. And cooking facility was spot on. The kids loved the freedom of the park with forest walks across the road. And steam train within 5 mins walk.. no WiFi was not a problem for us. But there was no connection.

I'm generally not a person that stays in small huts like this, but I was positively surprised by this one. It isn't the most spaceous, but it was great for the two days we stayed there, and if you're a more wilderness/camping kind of person, I definitely recommend it. The surroundings were lovely woods with some nice walking paths, that especially at night provided some great opportunities for star watching, and the hut itself has a nice little kitchen with everything you need (except maybe an oven, but if you do it right, you can definitely do without that), and a nice and clean shower, the beds were also very comfortable. Every hut also has a fire place outside, and the owners provide firewood upon request, if there is no fire ban at the moment, which can happen if it becomes too dry. I can definitely recommend this if you are looking fora little bit more adventurous stay!

We had a lovely stay, it's right next to a little play area, which the kids loved and although it's self catering, there was a lot of little extras supplied, like tea and coffee, washing powder. Thank you

Property was in a lovely location ideally situated for getting out and about. Lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable and great value for money. Had everything needed. Will definitely be returning!

    Very well equiped kitchen and utility room (especially useful for out door activiites, wish we had had a dog with us). Covered veranda with outside seating. Clean comfortable lounge and rooms with effective heating and plenty of hot water for the excellent bath and shower. Very helpful oowners when contacted with any requests. A real lifesaver for a personal problem.

    Location is amazing! Tomintoul is such a charming little village in the Cairngorms, with pubs and a shop in easy walking distance. The house is super well equipped, I don't think there was anything missing, as a matter of fact the design is tasteful and all very clean, beds comfortable, kitchen has all the that you may want. Would be happy to spend our next holiday here for sure. Thank you!
