The facility was self catering, with a gas stove, microwave and refrigerator. Gas water and heater ensured a comfy unit at all times. The area was central to most major Irish towns/cities. Within driving distance of Dublin, Cork, Waterdale, Limmerick, Galway,and Killarney which made it excellent for many day trips. Just a short drive to Cashel which hosts the Cashel Rock, a monumental medieval cathedral of National significance.

The host was so friendly and helpful and the location was excellent - next to a field of cows with a view to Devil’s bit mountain. Great to be able to self cater and excellent base for climbing Devil’s bit mountain and exploring the beautiful historic town of Roscrea.

Very nice, quiet change from busy tourist spots. Helpful , friendly. Recommendation for Nice local pub meal. Not easy to find but well worth it. Self serve Breakfast was a very nice surprise. Probably the nicest place we stayed our entire trip.

A great, fully furnished cottage and the two hosts are very friendly, packed our fridge full of goodies. From here we did day trips to the towns of Kilkenny, Limmerick and Galway. By the way, our neighbours were real donkeys, see photo!
