I spent a night in Venice and chose Palazzo dei Guardiani for a laid-back stay. The apartment is brand new and furnished with a clean, simple, modern touch. It’s equipped with all the essentials; the bed is extremely comfortable — a must after a long stroll through the city. I had a great rest as the place is strategically located in a quiet area, yet within walking distance of the train station. However, I preferred taking a water taxi to fully experience the Venetian way of getting around. The residence concierge helped me make the most of the little time I had, offering great advice and tips on how not to miss the main landmarks around me. They were not only kind and always welcoming with a smile, but also truly professional and eager to help. For groceries, there’s a small supermarket right across from the residence, where you can find everything you might need.

Everything was perfect :-) We were allowed to check in at 13:30, Ms. Carmina was very nice (she speaks basic English, but she spoke Italian with us, because we understand it...) she explained the layout of the house, where we can eat and what to do (and to pay attention to pickpockets 🤭) The house is wonderful, it has really old venetian layout (a narrow, 3 stories high) with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms and a huge livingroom with antique furniture. The whole Venice is a walkable city, and it took us 12 minute from Piazzale Roma (which was very useful at 5a.m. when we left for the airport...), 30 minutes to San Marco, a huge piazzeta with bars and restaurants exactly at the location. I think it's the first time I give 10 to a location on booking :-D (Especially that the price was very convenient !)

We got all the instructions via WhatsApp. All was very well explained, before and after our stay. The host wrote us during our stay to check if everything was going well for us. Very professional and caring service! The towels were changed every day. A very nice surprise to find the fridge with beverages. We also had coffees, teas, some little stuff to have a breakfast. Thanks to the cleaning man, very caring!!! The bed was very comfortable. Very clean apartment.
