Self Catering Accommodation in Polonnaruwa

We are a family from the UK who visited Sri Lanka for a holiday. While searching for a good apartment or villa near the temples and relics in the Polonnaruwa area, we came across this little gem. Pearl White was one of only two properties available for our chosen dates. At first, we were a bit hesitant to book, as it was a recently listed property with just two reviews, both from local visitors. However, I decided to reach out to the property, and I was able to connect directly with the owner, Sisira. He was kind enough to explain the facilities in detail and share valuable insights about the place. Our conversation gave us a very good understanding and helped build our confidence in choosing Pearl White over the other options. It turned out to be a fantastic decision! We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay and we booked the entire villa. The location is excellent, very close to the town centre and major heritage sites. The villa itself is spacious, cozy, and exceptionally clean from the beds and linen to the toilets. Everything was well-maintained. We found every little convenience available, from matchboxes and a lit barbecue to massage bathtubs. I highly recommend this property without any hesitation, and we would definitely love to return. Special thanks to Sisira for taking such good care of us and always being reachable via WhatsApp whenever we needed anything.

The host knows perfectly how to behave amongst his guests, everything is a private tour with him. We took the cooking class, the boat tour and the ancient city tour. All have been wonderful. His personality makes the whole visit an amazing experience for all sorts of visitors. The ancient city tour is very well done, very informative and super chill to do. He knows all about the place, is a guide for you too and all with the most friendly smile. He’ll make your experience unique and can even help you to find the right food around town. The villa has a spacious set up, including a washing machine (with detergent even).

The host is extremely helpful and helped our family with all means, specially when our daughter sick. House is very clean and tidy, the location is a very carm and quiet. Highly recommend this place for your stay 😃😃😃😃.

Exceptional hosts and delicious home cooking. Helped to organise our stay, visiting Polonnaruwa and Medirgiriya archaeological sites and a canoe ride across the nearby lake. Did not expect to see an elephant feeding itself water plants. Canoe trip finished watching the sun go down. Without the help of our hosts we would probably only have experienced Polonnaruwa

The owners are super helpful, and gernerous people, We ate an amazing Breakfast there, The Real deal sri Lankan. A no brainer to reccomend to fellow travellers, wanting to get the best experience,

I had a great stay. It was excellent value for money, and the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. They were always available to assist with anything I needed, making my stay even more enjoyable. The facilities were well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay.

Very clean and tidy rooms. Spacious rooms. Bathrooms are very clean. The owner was super helpful. They helped us with itinerary and van hiring.

Very comfortable accommodation. Near the historical center. Very nice hostess. Possibility to rent bicycles and scooters. I recommend!
