I felt right at home and the entire building is sitting in this very cute location. The owner had 2 cats which roam around the property. It was great to see them. The hosts were also very attentive and friendly. I had a great time speaking to them in Japanese, but they seem to manage really well with people don't speak Japanese. The best thing for sure was that they totally saved me twice! I didn't realize how rural this place was when I booked it. On the map, it looked more accessible on foot and it was only when I was heading to Aso that I would be in trouble because of my luggage. The host offered to pick me up from Akamizu and the even to take me back to get dinner/use the onsen. Later, they also offered to drive me to Tateno station for my departure train. This saved me so much stress. I couldn't walked with my luggage, but it would have been miserable. Overall, I had a really wonderful time staying here. Felt very peaceful and I was able to relax, especially after my long hike on Mt. Aso.

A nice bonus is the pot belly stove fireplace and we used it every night.

We all very appreciated for the hospitality, will come back again.

When youre here by car ot motorbike you can reach the attractions of aso area in no time. The manager was very friendly. There is also a great restaurant in 15 minutes walking distance.

You can go to a real cute market place where everything is from the farms around, such a nice moment. The owners were nice and careful. This was one of the most magical places we have ever stayed. This Inn was extremely clean, stylish, modern, quiet,and in a good location in the small town, with great service staff and access to 7 onsens in a beautiful garden setting with a historical feel. Kurokawa is off the beaten path for westerners but so worth it, and Noshiyu Inn seemed like one of THE top choices in town. It exceeded our expectations and we were pretty amazed by it.

It was -3°C when I woke up at 7:30am, so cold and I decided to go back to sleep... but when I drew the curtain and looked outside, the scenery was amazing that I immediately grabbed my coat and gloves to take some pictures outside. The room itself was spacious if you're only traveling with your partner, it would be packed if you're a group of 3 to 4. Very clean and cozy. Everyone mentioned the breakfast so we ordered it too! Self-grown vegetables, homemade jam and yogurt... even the honey was from their own beebox! So healthy and natural food... We were truly amazed.
