We got a welcome drink, drinking water was provided, and the host gave us many recommendations for where to get food and what to do in the area.

Shared some puja food as well and it was a great experience. They also made sure that tea is available before I left even though it was super early morning. This property is super clean, it shines .!The proprietor is helpful and he allowed us to leave bags in our room when we we went on a trip to delft island, basically he gave us the rooms free for that extra night as he was quiet at the beginning of the season in Jaffna , he is a kind relaxed gentleman, he is not doing food at the moment but he provided a good kitchen with microwave , kettle and fully stocked with cutlery and crockery in his beautiful home apartment, the apartment had a huge terrace balcony for relaxing. This was an enchanting stay in a residential suburb not too far outside of the main Jaffna city. The house is 150 years old, and it does feel like staying in an old mansion - with the giant keys and fancy doors. The guesthouse owner was very kind and helpful, and made me delicious food for dinner. He also assisted with laundry for no charge. There is no heated water, but there is a built in "fountain" in the wall, which added to the old-timey feeling.
