Excellent place to stay in Tirol. Well located, clean and cosy, rooms renovated very recently. They managed to combine modern and traditional aspects, and the place is really cosy. There is also a restaurant, so in the evening you can eat there. Friendly staff.

Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant. We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

Amazing hotel. The building itself is so special and the way the owners have renovated the place is truly remarkable. The hotel is situated in such a lovely town and we had a great view from both rooms. The rooms are super spacious and the design is very special. Breakfast was amazing!! This hotel was the perfect stop on our to (and from) the Italian Dolomites. Do not trust your car (or any other) GPS on time and distances - the highways to and from Munich and into Italy are crazy busy and you will want to break your journey in two. I can think of no better place on your way as feels like you are already in the mountains and on holiday. The staff are wonderful, food is great and it is very quiet. What more could you ask for!
