We loved everything about this hotel. There’s so much to share but in brief, it’s just a 2 minute walk from the train station yet so quiet overnight. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area but more importantly the hotel is probably the best we’ve ever stayed in. There is a history to this hotel, clearly linked to London and the great granddaughter’s of the original owner are still there running things. The food / breakfast was amazing. Very fresh and nothing was packaged. They trust those staying to serve themselves to the snacks, beer and wine in the evening and note down what you’ve taken and they honestly could not do enough for you. The decor was lovely with a hint of London times, old and new. We would highly recommend this hotel!

The location was ideal—close to everything I wanted to explore, yet peaceful and relaxing. The best place I've ever stayed in the mountains, I arrived late as I got a little lost on my bike. The owner made me spaghetti bolognese after the kitchen had closed, I am really thankful for that after a hard day on the bike. The situation and setting of the place is incredible. Straight away you can walk up the mountains, bike or just relax. I wish I'd stayed there for longer. I actually had the dormitory to myself and he still made me breaking at 7-30 just me in the restaurant. Proper mountain breakfast and then a walk up to almost 3000m!

The location was perfect, the size of the single room was adequate with everything that one needs for 1 night. The price was decent for the area and the breakfast included was quite a bonus, plenty of options for everyone.
