It was quiet, peaceful, and surprisingly spacious. Loved being tucked away from town on the orchard. The apples and apple juice were delicious and the owners were super helpful as we had an injury to deal with (a trip to the hospital), and they even gave the sorry sore one a lift home. Amazing hospitality. Would definitely recommend. Very comfortable and spacious with all the required appliances

The host was very friendly and welcoming. He was respectful and gave us space but had lots of very good suggestions which we enjoyed. He even helped us to set up the bbq pit and get it going so we could bbq, and there were lots of groceries and things that were provided. The facilities are generous: can take 12 guests comfortably with two shower rooms and 4 WCs The place is quiet with easy parking and within short drive (less than 30 minutes) of major outdoor adventure locations. Its a great base camp for outdoor activities. I would love to come again in a different season and see all that minakami has to offer!

The hotel was lovely, free welcome drinks and cakes were very nice to have. We didn't have the breakfast or dinner as we wanted to eat outside but they seemed very good as well.

Incredibly lovely staff. They made our entire stay even more remarkable. Micasa is a good place to have a first contact with Ryokans as there are not too many guestrooms and the hosts are soo welcoming. The onsen were usable in a private setting which made this another good place for first contacts with Japanese experiences. All in all this has been a memorable highlight of our visit to Japan and a core memory will remain the farewell by the staff member. She has such a loving and engaged attitude.

Surrounded by lush mountains in Minakami, Tenjin Lodge is just a 5-minute walk from Tenjindaira Snow Resort Ropeway and JR Doai Station.

This lovely Airbnb property is a gem find. It is located very near the heart of the town, you can walk from this property to all the nice cafes and eateries around this place. There’s a weekend market at the town center with crafts workshops for the kids and adults. There’s plenty to do from hikes, water activities (in summer and autumn), onsens (all year round) and skiing. It’s about 30mins drive to ski slopes. The property is fully furnished just bring your toothbrush. You can cook your meals in the lovely kitchen (my husband has kitchen envy now). And if you want to, you can let the owners (who live literally next door btw) know when booking and they can prepare the BBQ pit for you. It has washer&dryer, a lovely bathroom with bathtub. Yes it has free wifi. Great for couples or small families. It has a western bedroom with a queen size bed. There is also a tatami room that sleeps 2. This Airbnb is so nice you don’t want to leave it when you get there!
